When the free agent period opens up on Thursday morning, it would not be surprising to see San Jose active in some form as Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson has a track record of being proactive about acquiring what he wants.
There is no question San Jose would like to find someone to pair with Thomas Greiss to form a strong netminding combination. San Jose has some talented in-house netminding prospects in Alex Stalock and Harri Sateri, but they want to let the critical position players develop at the right speed. ...

Yeah.. We're not spending big money on him. And if the indications we're getting are correct, we won't sign ANYone noteworthy on defense.
We'll get some fourth line scrubs or something.

As far as goaltenders for this year, It's going to be between Greiss, Stalock, and Sateri it seems.

nahhh sateri will stay over in finland for at least 1 more yr i believe. we'll sign someone in fa to a 1yr contract unless its turco (who i dont want) let him compete with greiss. if greiss bombs as the starter hes gone and stalock whos in line as the future goalie gets the job the following yr while sateri comes over to worcester. the jury is still out on sexsmith still who struggled last yr probably due to the fact he had a hernia and had to get surgery

Mitchell-Malhotra-Couture
McGinn-Nichol-Cheechoo
Murray-Boyle
