#1 - Would the Ducks have traded Pronger to a division rival? I don't think so.

#2 - If yes, would the Sharks have offered more than Philly? Pronger and prospect Ryan Dingle went from the Anaheim Ducks to Philadelphia for forward Joffrey Lupul, defenseman Luca Sbisa, first-round picks in 2009 and 2010 and a conditional third-round pick in 2010 or 2011.

#3 - If the Sharks had traded a package of player(s)/pick(s) for Pronger, would they still have had a good enough team to reach the Western Conference Finals?

One positive to take from this playoffs

the development and play from guys like: McGinn, Demers, and Couture.

Sharks have a nice mix of vets and young guys for years.
