Anyone got connections to Paraag. Maybe they are looking for a stats/moneyball person. And AB does have insight in to knee injuries so that could help the team scouting.

What's that supposed to mean

Might be downgrade on your career but just trying to get good folks a job on they team the root for.

A downgrade? I would love to work for them, but they want the highest degree possible, I'm 37, I can't afford to go to school for 8 yrs. As for the knee thing, idk if you're joking or serious. I'm having a hard time figuring out who's being genuine or being an ahole nowadays on here, I know I've done my share of being one, and I apologize if I offended you or anyone. Others who shall not be named, I have no respect for, they know who they are, you likely know their names.

Thanks Hoov, saw the orthopedic today, have to wear a brace, need PT on my knee, if not, it could dislocate again, causing me to have to have surgery. My first time ever having any issues with my knee(s).

8 years sheesh. Over educated underachievers if you ask me. Look at the where their metrics have got our depth chart.
Nah man. I am fan of your work. There are good folks in here too. Many seem like venting because they truly want the team to win another SB. I've noticed even the nastiest trollers either get owned by facts or whimper away in the corner. The occasional sarcastic ones which a lot of us can be at times usually mean well but cant express themselves properly.
At the games you rarely see fans act anything like what we read here though, you said so yourself. Keep doing what you do with the cap site. It will lead somewhere one day.
Hope you have good health insurance for your knee. At least it is a little cheaper to be in NY than it is in Nocal.

Thanks bud, yeah the trolls get to me, ever since 2019, I never meant to compare my Dog to a Human being, even one mod said I didn't cross the line with that, despite those guys getting pissed.

So I can't just let those guys act like "oh can't we get passed this" no, you said do the surgery yourself, throw her to side, put her down like lassie, etc... Sorry, but those people are scum, I would never say that about anyone or anyone's animal(s).

Anyway, my kneecap is hurting, on Motrin, helping the pain, need PT, call Monday to begin it, nervous as hell to step on it, I have a brace on it pretty much 24/7, except when I shower, and I get very nervous in there, don't want to slip, I can't bend it without the brace, feels like it might dislocate again, I can't take that pain, I usually can take any amount of pain, but the pain I felt when it popped out and back in, worst pain I ever felt, besides being catheterized twice, that hurts like a MF'er.

Anyway, appreciate the kind words, will keep doing me, and yeah 8yrs is ridiculous, I have a friend, who I stayed with in Cali, that said he hires people with way less experience, degree wise, just don't know how the 49ers or any NFL team expects someone to get that kind of degree, I think my work speaks for itself, other than the guys like Paraag, those who do this for each franchise, no one other than myself, and people like me understand the cap, except agents, they know it perfectly.
I posted my 2022 Offseason Plan, very early, but it's what I'd do right now.

What can they do with MM cap hit if the injury/recovery is as bad as we are hearing ?

That's a tough one, his $10.88M is fully GTD, in retrospect they never should have exercised it, at the time, I was confident he'd have a bounce back year, but I was wrong. If anything, they can do what the Saints did, so a pseudo extension, lower his salary down to $1.035M, creates a $9.845M bonus, prorate is over 5-years(4 void years), would save the team $7.876M, but in 2023, we'd have a $5.907M dead money hit.
Now, if for some reason McGlinchey's injury is career ending, that $10.88M goes back to the 49ers, as he'd forfeit the money, as you can't keep the money in the year you retire.

All of it? He wouldn't get anything? Now that sucks for the player

Spending a s**t ton of money on the d line and for what. They need to allocate that money elsewhere

Yep, it's a part of the CBA, a player can't retire and keep his salary, even if GTD.

Do you mean Bosa? No way they don't extend Bosa. I didn't project any potential FA signings, cause it's way too early. They'll either draft a CB high(I hope) or sign someone to a team friendly deal in FA.

They need to draft a couple of corners to have a better chance of hitting on one. If they both turn out to be good, so much the better. They can also use a safety that's a true ballhawk.

I'm all for drafting a CB high, if we do end up with say a top 10 pick in the 2nd, I'd trade up into round 1, if a CB falls, pick him, right now we're set to have 8 picks, Our 2nd, Our 3rd, Our 4th, Our 5th, DEN's 6th, and 3 Comp 7th's(for losing Solomon Thomas, Kerry Hyder Jr., & C.J. Beathard according to OverTheCap.com). We could deal our 2nd & 4th to get into rd 1, still have our 3rd, 5th, DENs 6th, & 3 7th's.

I would love a ballhawk Safety, but due to the restructure or Ward's contract, we're stuck with him in 2022, the savings is only $3,075,588, well $2,370,588 with the top 51 factored in.
I think it's time to move from Gould if they need cap next year.
