Alright after Alex Mack signed a 3yr deal, and not the 1yr $5.5M deal reported, I have the 49ers at $13,560,127 in cap room, before Mack, Jones, and Dee's restructured deal, again I'm assuming they gained between $5M to $10M from the Dee restructure. I still think Jones's cap number will be $1,127,500, but can't confirm it, hopefully Mack comes in super low, like $2.5M ish, and if we saved say just $7M from Dee, we're likely close to $18.5M under the cap, enough to retain K'Waun & Hyder, that would likely be it for free agency, which I'm good with.

Let's get Aldon and Frank and get them that ring we never got!
16 mil should give us more than enough for Kwuan and Hyder at least. Heck, we have more than enough to go for Aldon instead as well.

Would love this but hard to believe, IMO, Jed will sign off on Aldon coming back.

Laken Tomlinson can get extended to save 3m.
Once Richburg retires in June it'll save another 1m
That should be enough to pay the rookies drafted in the first 3 rounds
And there's always Jimmy contract which hasn't been touched.
Sometimes I think the fans worry more about the cap than the front office does. They always seem to figure it out.

It is because the FO actually knows how the cap works and how to manipulate it effectively.
Plenty of fans have no clue how it works. And I don't blame it, NFL contracts and salary cap is such a complex mumbo jumbo, not everyone has the knowledge of AB on these topics. Many people believes just on the big number and the average per year is the cap hit, not knowing about signing bonuses, prorrated salaries, guaranteed money, the top 51 rule, the June 1 cut, restructures, etc, etc.
Just take a look at George Kittle contract and it's some crazy s**t the fact he will make 5m this season and Trent Williams will make 8m. The fact the Chiefs were able to sign Thuney to a big contract and were chasing TW. It's hard to understand all this stuff.
Wanna hear something crazy?

We started out with the 8th most cap space.

We currently have the 11th most.

Per AB's projection of $18.5M, we'd have the 8th most cap space.
