Yeah but $9 Million of that will go towards rookies and they will also need to save cap space to extend Warner. I would like them to free up about $10 Million more in cap space.

This

24.3 without knowing Ebukam and Ford numbers yet.

Ebukam number is 3.75 m this year. 20.5 m ballpark left plus what ever Ford gained for us.

Yup, according to OTC that's correct

Like you said that's without knowing what the Ford restructure is....if I had to guess I'm guessing SF has roughly $30M in cap space to work with, plenty of cash to do whatever they want.
We still got the $$$ for TW. Let's go! I feel like TW wants to fly out to these facilities and taken out to dinners. After all the wining and dining hopefully he comes back and signs here
19m before the Dee restructure is reflected after all the signings, it should go up to around 25m.
Only the first 3 draft picks would count on the top 51 I suppose so it's not really that much you have to save on the rookie class.
They could even save an extension to Tomlinson to get the needed cap space for that.
Jimmy contract hasn't been touched so far.
I'd expect them to bring a C like Alex Mack or David Andrews since we know Shanahan won't start a rookie center.
Obviously Trent Williams is still a big domino piece waiting to fall down.
It seems they'll spend some on the backup QB, so Jimmy better take a pay cut if money will be spent on a Dalton or Trubisky.

Resigning Juice and verret to maintain was nice. Nothing to improve the talent so far. I'm not feeling it.

Not sure what you were expecting, and FA is not over lol. But 30 mil in cap isnt a lot when you have to resign so many guys. We will still sign a C and possibly a WR. CB as well if Kwuan leaves.

Could we just take the difference of what Ford was to make and average the new one and subtract for the savings this year? So if he's making $12M now, was scheduled to make $17M, just add $5M.

Like you said, $30 sounds about right.

If they bring back Trent and sign a C that's a succesful FA for me. David Andrews, Alex Mack and Rodney Hudson are still options.
Even if Trent and a C are signed I still want to draft Slater and Humphreys in the first two rounds lmao. If they don't, well, Jimmy G is going to IR once again.

Actually, it is true. But that's because Shanny & Co. mostly use the draft to "improve the talent" on the team. Unless we're talking about a top FA other teams FA's are roster fillers, IMHO. Resigning your own FA's should take precedence over other team's FA (unless there's an affordable upgrade opportunity), which is what Shanny & Co. are doing.

I agree there. FA is used to fill gaps on glaring holes so you can go to the draft with somehow a complete team.
Keeping your own guys comes before looking for outside talent.
They are 2/3 for the top players they wanted to bring back, pushing to bring the most important one.
If you succeed here you can pretty much attack the draft with BPA.
