No team has the kind of success with late round picks and undrafted FAs KC would need to field a competitive roster. Even with them creating 12 mil in cap space they have more holes to fill than just tackle. Trent would eat up most or all of that 12 mil. Still doesn't fix the rest of their roster. They've gotten by with a serviceable LT since Mahomes came into the league, they don't need an all-pro LT to have success.
I don't even think the Colts are players for Trent in FA, even with 40+ mil to spend. WR and TE are huge needs and they have to pay their owe big time players who are coming up on extensions. There's no way the could pay an 3 OL top dollar.
If a team like KC wants him they can absolutely throw out a great deal for him.
if Jimmy was the FQB extending him shouldn't even be a issue. He's clearly not.
why wouldn't the colts be players? Just because? You say SF has double what KC has well INDY has almost double what we have...they can restructure players all the same.
