Just to see the team play again after a long offseason will be satisfying.

Bros out for the year
Why is it more important to stay healthy in preseason. Would you prefer they get injured in the first or second game of the year because they aren't in shape? Staying healthy is an issue all season. Getting in shape helps players stay healthy. For years it was normal to see the starters play the first quarter in the fiirst pre season game. At least one or two series. Then they would extend to the first half in game 2.or game 3. Rest on game 4. There were no more injuries then there are now. Some studies have shown there were fewer serious early season injuries because the players were ready to play.

Sucks that the last time we saw them was getting creamed by the Seahawks because we were using our Preseason Lineup to play that game.

Not exactly sure where that's relevant to Pearsall but it is sad that at this point having injuries early in the season is somehow a good thing because at least they'll be back later

He was talking about what was traditionally done in the past.
It definitely seems like teams across the league are much more cautious with starters and playing time, in the preseason, than they used to be… whether it was the old 4 game format or current 3 game version.

Season is too long now, preseason is practice and September ball is to get ready for a push to the playoffs

If they treat Strib like a starter where he gets just a couple series, that will tell you what they think about him.

I don't disagree. Probably going to get pushed to 18 games in the near future as well.

I made the original post so I'll answer your question. Obviously preference is no injuries at all but that's unrealistic.
However preseason doesn't mean a damn thing. If a player gets injured late in a game where they help us win which actually counts towards the season...then yes that's preferable to me over a guy getting a significant injury in a game that doesn't do a damn thing for us.
And studies and all that are great...but with injuries sometimes it's simply about luck. Good or bad.
Nick Bosa as a rookie didn't play a single preseason game and ended up playing every game that year including a master class in the SB which should've been rewarded with a win if the refs didn't close their eyes.
Matt Stafford last year barely practiced in Rams camp with his back issue, definitely didn't sniff preseason and got league MVP and never missed a game.

It looks like 7pm on NFL net. which is an hour delay from actual kickoff. Sounds like a good afternoon of football with GB and Pitt kicking off at 4

Idk 1st preseason game is worth a celebration but it's a Thursday so I'd say just enough to be drunk but don't push it
