What just happened to Greg Papa is not only inhumane. It's beyond the pale of the worst things I've seen in this capitalist media society. When a guy is fighting for his life, gave you everything you he had, and you kick him to the curb in his darkest hour is only the stuff the devil could do. The 49ers should step up. If not, his death is on you Jed York.

Lol, pretty much my feeling.

Papa is a football nut, so his shows have been enjoyable especially during season. I think sports radio in the Bay is pretty thin overall.

Right? I doubt they had any say in this, it is messed up to fire him after everything he's gone through and is still going through but the hate toward the Yorks isn't right IMO

Agree. It's a bad look for Cumulus to fire him while he's dealing with cancer. This cuts his normal radio pay, his 49ers game pay is not changed yet, but he even said in a recent interview it's going to be hard for him to prepare the games at this point.

Normal employers can't fire terminally sick, or pregnant employees, so he must have had an independent contractor deal. Hopefully his medical insurance is unchanged given his age he's probably on MediCal
