Cut / trade them all. They can't be counted on anymore

Bosa, CMC, Williams, Pearsall, Evans. Every single one.

Emotional reaction. You'd most likely rebuild a healthier, less injured team that has no real shot. I'd rather expand the training staff so guys could be monitored more frequently and move the practice facility. Also do an independent study (again). Furthermore, its mostly young players missing games.

It's not emotional. These are high paid guys who are constantly injured. Bosa can't stay healthy, CMC and Kittle will miss games guaranteed. Same wirh Trent Williams

I love the guys but how much cap space can we spend on guys who aren't reliable?

You find a qb and go from there. It's seems better to find a bunch of above average players. Every team continues to have injuries. It's who can be there in the end.

They expanded the staff this year and it's made no difference. They have 9 people dedicated to training and another 5 dedicated to strength and conditioning. The average NFL team has 4-8 trying stasff and 4-6 strength andf conditioning so the 49ers are right there with the rest of the teams.

The Chargers have one of the newest and best training facilites and they keep getting a lot of injuries. Their O ;ine especially keeps losing guys. It's not just how nice the facitiy is or how many people you have on the training staff.

8-20% of injuries happen in practice in the NFL. Most are relatively minor like this calf strain. Still they can be nagging types that linger and cause palyers to miss a few games.

The Oakland Athletics tried that and look where they wound up.
I need an optimistic tweet from Lombardi right now to make me feel better
None of those are the substation. But when you are recovering from a knee injury you over compensate in surrounding tissues. Like Bosa and his calf which does the heavy lifting as your body is trying to protect the knee. You also have a long time off in the injury, surgery, recovery, rehabilitation phases. Which makes surrounding areas weaker. As you are not able to train them. So you get out of shape in those areas. Like the calf. Which leads to more injuries.

No one in the NFL is reliable. Every player is one play or practice away from being out of the league.

It feels like that, but if this Bosa injury is only 2-6 weeks and not season ending, then I think we can still be ok. If we can avoid season ending injuries to our critical players, we can still contend in the end. It's unlikely we'll be able to win the division though.
