I think the NFL has some of those rules to prevent teams from stashing players with bs injury claims They do need to change some of these rules because of the amount of injuries happening.

Yep I knew once they went to 17, there was no stopping them from increasing it even more. The floodgates were opened. Should of stopped at 16.

18 is coming in next cba. Hope the players get a 32 grass field mandate in return as well as bigger rosters

The 53 man roster is arbitrary and ridiculous. It's just made up. You could have 65, 75, 80 or whatever. College rosters have like 90 players or more sometimes. You could have a backup kicker, punter, return man. More backup offensive line and defensive line players. 3 QB's like we have but some carry just 2. I just think it makes no sense this 53/48 dynamic we are doing. Why not 65 and they are all active? Then you can play more games. I still think 17 is enough games. 16 was fine too. We don't need 18.

The league needs to have more mandatory practices like they did pre-2011 CBA. Players are dropping like flies across the nfl

If you're a Wild Card team, you have to play 21 games to win the SB. To try to get through a 17-game season (and maybe more games in the future) and then have any kind of playoff run with only a 53-man roster is a tough climb where you're just hoping injury fortunes are on your side. For the players and their union, you would think expanding the rosters by a few would be something they're heavily in favor of as more guys would get the bigger paychecks being on the final roster.

Agree with both. I hope the players union gets that Grass Field Mandate for every NFL stadium. The technology is there. I'd like the NFL players union incorporate international players somehow into their structure, and team up with the NFL to expand the reach of the NFL worldwide like the NBA. I'd love to have more talent from all over the world to playe here - like in Baseball - you have some awesome Japanese baseball players playing in the MLB right now. Why not the NFL in the future.
