When you have the oldest team in the league guys get injured. It's a bad strategy. It's not the power station. The average is deceiving. There are lots of 30+ players on this team and some really old guys for pro athletes too. Trent Williams seems to be an obvious example but appears ageless and timeless. He's awesome still. But he's 38. Demarcus Robinson is 32 and currently injured.

30 year old guys aren't the ones that are hurt outside of Robinson and Kirk.

Christian Kirk - 29

Demarcus Robinson - 32

Those would actually line up with the argument pretty well.

So 2 of the 15 guys on IR. Clearly it's the age.

About as coherent as your Harbaugh is better than Kyle arguments.

You were wrong. Get over it
As of Sept 21

We have a real problem at WR and DT. Hopefully Romello won't miss time or we are short a DE too.

I think KhaDarel Hodge will replace Robinson and Watkins will be active. Mckinley Jackson probably gets elevated to the 53 replacing Thompson.

And all 8 of our IR designated to return spots are full after 2 weeks.

Injured week to week:

DE- Romello Height.

PUP:

RB- Isaac Guerendo
DE- Mykel Williams

Injured Reserve List (Designated to Return)

WR- Christian Kirk
OT- Austen Pleasants
LB- Nick Martin
CB- Nate Hobbs
DE- Sam Okuayinonu
WR- De'Zhaun Stribling
WR- Demarcus Robinson
DT- James Thompson

IR-

WR- Ricky Pearsall
DE- Mikail Kamara
OC- Brett Toth
OG- Nick Zakelj
DE- Alfred Collins
TE- Jake Tonges

Jimmy G - 10+ year extension!
I'm tired boss
People. It's not just us. 4 starting QB's in the league are out-injured. 3 of them are young. What does that tell you about what's going on? The injury list will get longer as the season goes on. The season is too long and 18 regular season games is in the works.

Early season injuries. Could it be due to the holding back in the preseason out of fear that season ending injuries can be avoided? If so it's not working. The regular season should go back to 16 games with 2 fewer playoff teams. Last night I wanted to see NY take it to the Rams. When their QB went down I shut the TV off-game over. Do we hope Stafford goes down? I've expressed these concerns before. The deciding factor on what to do will have 100% to do with money?

If they increase the amount of games in a season, I would hope they either increase the 53 man squad or the practice squad. Allow 4+ QB's etc... 17 games is already grueling enough right now.
Simplest answer is to have an ir list like baseball has. None of these limits. 4 game ir and 8 game ir.

Also have unlimited call ups for Practice squad guys under 4 seasons.

100%. The increase in games to 17 by itself should've already increased the 53 to 56 or something (especially when the 53 includes a P, K, and LS, which all teams must have).

If you're a Wild Card team, you have to play 21 games to win the SB. To try to get through a 17-game season (and maybe more games in the future) and then have any kind of playoff run with only a 53-man roster is a tough climb where you're just hoping injury fortunes are on your side. For the players and their union, you would think expanding the rosters by a few would be something they're heavily in favor of as more guys would get the bigger paychecks being on the final roster.
Should of just kept the 16 Game schedule. It was perfect but Greed f**ked everything up.
This is s getting pretty dicey at WR and DT, especially with West being a liability out there. Curious what the play is here.

It's week 2, I don't think the 17 game schedule is our problem when we can't even make it through 2 games without losing a quarter of the roster.
