reminds me of the Jaden Dugger pick... me thinks Raheem the dream is looking for a role player in his defense and he went out and had Johnny get him a few prospects

We still need a good one of those, no doubt. Some good ones in the draft next year.

In the meantime, the goal seems to be for more versatile LBs that cover well in addition to the more traditional role of LBs. I like that trend as more teams are using 2 and 3 TEs in formation.

"In two seasons with the Razorbacks Worth played in 25 games and put up 118 tackles with two tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks. He also had three pass breakups and a forced fumble. He has an interesting build at 6-4, 226 pounds which gives some idea that the team could envision him in a couple of different roles in the LB corps." Yahoo Sports

He played about the same number of snaps at Free Safety as he did LB. (Nick Emmanwori - 6' 3" 223 lbs)

3 year deal for a UDFA? Unique.

Interesting prospect.

All UDFAs get 3yr deals, like all draft picks get 4yr deals.
Thanks AB I wasn't aware of that, I was wondering why they gave him 3 years.

No worries, and yeah they've always gotten the standard 3yr deals.

Thanks. I guess I heard that but forgot about it. The headline caught my eye.

I understand, if I didn't know for sure I'd be shocked that they gave a tryout player a 3yr deal, if he had already been in the league or was an UDFA in 2025 then he would have only gotten a 1yr deal.

Lol yeah pretty much, everyone is trying to divide us 49ers fans, it seems anyway, have to be on either one side only, can't see it both ways.

It is worth noting that (sorry for the pun), that they cut a veteran guy they had already signed to fill a similar role. They obviously saw something they liked.
The more we have players that can help us stop the run, the better. That will be important late in the year after some injuries and tiredness. Hopefully we get creative with some speed covering the backside, using a variety of players and other positions.

Oh yeah, he was a tryout player, and signing him is a big deal IMO, most tryout players don't get signed, maybe 1 or 2 from the minicamp, like the Vikings signed 2 of their tryout players this week.

Raheem Morris is looking for his 2026 version of John Lynch/Ronnie Lott 2.0 for his defense.
