LOVE IT. Knew when they drafted him that it meant Shanny was FINALLY willing to do what many of us wanted the past couple years. Preserve CMC. He's so good and versatile that this will allow him to be more effective, play more in the passing game, etc. He's taken enough punishment; let the young buck get the tough yardage and take/evade the hits.

He runs hard. A downhill, straight ahead, no nonsense runner. Not afraid of physical contact. Always going forward. He seems legit and takes a lot of pressure and carries off CMC. Which we need. He was a good pick.

He's going to break some long explosive runs. Gonna be like Mostert with how fast he can get to the second level

He had an awesome game. He was really impressive in pre-season but you never know, the regular season is a different beast. Man, what a talented player. The catch when Purdy was pressured was not easy at all to make. He's explosive, he runs hard. So far so good.

Not sure he has the long speed that Mostert had, but he is a really good runner nonetheless.

They'll still say we could have gotten someone in the 6th to do the same thing because the "Shanny system".

Great start for the rook. Hope we keep doing this and it wasn't just an Australia load management thing.

I was more surprised how consciously they used him. Looks like we will finally see cmc not get 4000 touches lol. Kid has a great burst but he doesn't need to plow into brick walls every time either. Will be a great 1-2 all season.

Liked his tape, liked his pre-season - and great to see it translate.

Hed the sort of guy who will just grow in the NFL- other more flashy backs got all the hype, but this guy looks NFL-ready.

Hopefully we can keep rotating him and CMC and keeping teams guessing.

Happy to see Shanny finally using his rookie running back to support CMC. Running game looked fresh and Black looks good so far.

My guess is it's the pass protection more than running But black looks great running like how he falls forward and hits the hole fast

I liked Black coming out. I didn't like him for us because I never in a million years thought Kyle would use him OR ANY OTHER RB like this with a healthy CMC. I called Black a reach for US for this reason. Really hoping Kyle continues this.

Did not like the split carries, CMC was avg 2 more yard per carry than Black and showed who was the better back. Should have been CMC with 18 carries and Black 6 would have been a better rotation. This we want to preserve CMC you pay him 20 mil. to perform now , even if we did preserve him we want keep him past another 2 years because his contract would be to expensive. Why is CMC the only player in the league you hear a fan base lets watch his touch to preserve you look at the other top players there fans want more touches. If we want to baby him don't ask him to chip on DE like Myles he take more punishment for that block than most of his touches.
