He and CMC might legitimately be best RB duo this year they will compliment each other well

Only problem with that is Kyle doesn't like to use other running backs he likes CMC only. So....not sure if that'll change this year but their running game suffered greatly because of it. Fresh legs are a must

Kyle hasn't had many he could rely on the last couple years. Last year James and Guerendo were hurt so he didn't have any good options.

Brian Robinson is a very solid RB. Kyle relies on CMC to take himself out and CMC doesn't like to take plays off.
Did anyone see the play where he's running out of bounds and nearly gets taken out for possibly quite a while if not the season by some big ass TV camera stand or whatever that huge metal thing was? That's almost always our sh**ty luck.

I was impressed how he contorted his body and just rolled over it. Thought he was going to get smoked by it

Brian Robinson wasn't an "all around" back. Having a RB that can run well, block really well, and catch really well - is a major luxury. CMC is amazing at all three, which adds an incredible piece to the offense and the play calling ability.

when you take him out and put Robinson in, you get a more stale play calling and last year we had so many piss poor players starting cause of injuries that Kyle didn't want to do that.

i hope Kyle uses both at the same time in some packages and gives CMC more rest this year
Almost afraid to say it out loud but we have a running back room that looks very strong and complements nicely. Bit of everything in there and that should give us some options.

Obviously got to prove it in the real games now but IF Kaelon can start to be a problem for teams, then man we should start to get the offense rolling.

Love how he looks so far, i wouldnt celebrate yet. Should we provide the list of RBs that were busts.

True, but that can be said for any draft pick. Which makes all the rubbish about "steals" and "reaches" worthless. Other than earning Kiper and a bunch of draftniks a living, of course.

In this year's draft there is no reaches once you get past the top 20 imo.

CMC is unique in that he does everything well. I saw that he's ranked #6 on the NFL top players list for 2026. That has to be because he can do so many different things. He's not the best runner, the best receiver or the best blocker. He just does everything well. Plus he's shown he can handle the ball a lot as long as he doesn't get hurt.
When it comes to Robinson he was a good short yardage back but I don't remember how his pass blocking was and he wasn't much of a wr so taking CMC if Robinson wasn't a great blocker limits the packages of plays a lot

Black is a plus pass blocker which opens up similar packages for both CMc and black so I'm hoping it means more of a RB room this year
how did black not get the #2 spot?
