Yeah, who would fear a WR who puts up over 200 yards in his very first game with his new club.

Anquan Boldin

Missed this beauty...

Anquan Boldin was arguably our best WR since TO after we signed him. What he's doing on the list with those guys is laughable...but on brand for you.

He averaged over 1k per season with us and only missed 2 games in 3 seasons.

Outside of Boldin the only WR anywhere near the resume of Mike Evans on your list is Isaac Bruce who was 36 when he joined our squad with piss poor offense overall around him and he still gave us an 800 yard 7 TD season before really falling off the season after.

Mike Evans will be 33. He has missed more than 3 games in a season just once, that was last year. It also happened to be the only season he failed to hit 1k+ yards.

Brock loves size in his WRs, one of the reasons Jennings and him hooked up so often on big plays. He trusts his guys to go up and get the football and Mike is one of the best to do that.

We will see what happens but your post is just silly.

how is it silly? Because you like Boldin?

I liked the guy too, ever since he was at FSU.. Dude also played QB .. the point here is that the list that I provided everyone were a bunch of good players but just did nothing enough put a scare into the opposing Ds.

I don't care if the opposing Ds are scared or not as long as the player is producing. Anquan Boldin produced. As the poster above me mentioned...literally started his career with us dropping 200 yards receiving.

Mike gives us a big target for Brock - excellent for big time downs and redzone. He's also a proven X and a threat to get behind defenses that whether they "fear" him or not they have to account for that threat.

God willing we can keep our guys healthy and if we do so, the schematic boost due to size/speed infusion for this year will be a giant leap from last year's WR room.
i keep watching mike evans highlights from '24 & '25 and find myself getting excited
Boldin was great for us for two years and decent for another.... best WR hands we've had on this team since Jerry. It's not about liking or not liking, dude was the #1 on this team, leapfrogging guys like Crabtree and VD.

If Evans can have even close to similar impact, this would be an absolute steal of a signing.

If Evans is anywhere near his previous 2025 self he'll end up being the best WR we've had in a long long time, he's a HOF IMO

Yup Anquan Boldin was literally the 9ers best WR. I miss seeing a WR who can dominate like that in both catching and blocking for the 49ers. Hopefully Stribling can be like Boldin a little and so far I like what I've seen in his blocking.
Hoping he makes a huge impact like when we got CMC.

HOF - that's a given... just a matter of time who's a head of him or when he retires.. as in which class will he fall in with..

Jerry Rice last game for the 49ers came in 2000. Boldin had best hands since then. I'm not sure what is there not to get.
