Hah! take that crowd that believe fans don't influence players to join!

I love what he said about wanting to be here and to play with Purdy. Guy seems like the polar opposite of Aiyuk in his demeanor and approach. Both him and Osa are strong character guys and locker room leader types.
Exactly right. The NFL is so close in talent that TEAM character makes a big difference.
I know it's sacrilegious and unrealistic to compare anyone to Jerry Rice, because nobody will duplicate what Rice did. But Jerry Rice himself compared himself to Mike Evans. Much like Jerry Rice, Mike Evans is widely recognized for a relentless work ethic and "unparalleled" dedication that has made him a beacon of consistency in the NFL. And Mike Evans is faster and bigger than Jerry Rice was. Mike Evans will be 33 years old this year.
Jerry Rice stats after 33 y/o =

Jerry Rice on Mike Evans' Work Ethic
Not fair to Jerry or to Evans to compare the two. Jerry is a Unicorn...the Goat. I'd rather compare Evans to a Boldin or a TO or even Fitzgerald who had a couple of 1,000 yards season after hitting 33. For the HOFer WR's the age of 35 seems to be the cliff to be honest when looking at their numbers outside of Jerry. Evans doesn't make us younger but he should be great here to finish his career.
Would love to see this guy ball out this year. He's been a very consistent player until this last season where he was hurt a lot.
the Bucs also have a couple of really good, young, WRs that they have been pushing.
im really excited for Brock to have a guy like Evans. Should be great for his growth and we all know Brock loves to give his WRs the chance to "make a play". Evan's is a savvy vet with a huge body and catch radius. If he can stay healthy, I think he will have a huge season.
haven't had a guy of this caliber in as long as I can remember.

💯 Now we just need to draft Landon Robinson to lead all the rookies and young guys into the future. Kid is the definition of strong character and locker room leader

Jerry Rice on Mike Evans' Work Ethic
Faster than Jerry Rice? I'm not talking about 40 times but actual football speed. The YAC monster Rice? I dunno know man. Rice and TO were the best WRs I've ever seen so if Mike Evans can even just enter the conversation we're golden. Glad to have him decide to come play with us
I think Evans sees this move as the best for his legacy. If he can come here and help this franchise win its 6th ring by balling out at the receiver position, that would that much more meaningful. No disrespect to the buccs who are successful as a franchise in their own right, but being a WR winning a SB in SF has a special meaning

He did win one with Tom Brady and the Bucs. Probably feels "mission accomplished" there.

How about we focus on WRs who are GOOD rather than WRs who are FAST?
Exactly.
49ers took complete bust "speedster" WR Danny Gray in the 3rd round
Meanwhile Rams selected Puka Nacua with #177 the last pick in round 5
