Now that "2nd free agency" has started there are a few pieces available for the secondary, I think CB Rasul Douglas and S Jabrill Peppers are available

definitely want us to grab a veteran FS. I like the additions of Hobbs and Jones to the CBs

Is it me or are we one injury away from having a worse receiver room than last year? Evans and Ricky glass are not exactly durable.

Evans has been durable the majority of his career. Last year really was an anomaly for him.

Yeah and it's like fans of other teams saying Warner was injury prone when he only missed 1 game prior to 2025 like Evans who has been durable and had 1k yards every yr before last yr

Yep and as much as I love Jauan, Evans is a huge upgrade plus we have freaking Valdez-Scantling playing week 1 and Kirk is so much better IMO, so the WR core is much better right now

I think one factor on injuries is age. As you get older as an athlete, you tend to get injured more. Not saying it particularly to Evans or Kirk, but generally speaking. I think the 49ers in 2025 had one of the older squads in the NFL. So I like the fact that we have a lot of youth at the WR squad. (Bergen, Cowing, Watkins, Stribling). Should the vets go down, there is some talent behind them to groom as future starters to step into that veteran role - if the Injury Bug starts to have a 49er feeding frenzy.

All or most of our young guys were injured last year as well as prior years.
