we beat the cawks without Kittle for most of our 1st game, similar situation against the beagles last week and won.... I don't see us losing much in the passing game without Kittle... I expect Brock to put up 35+ attempts this game, Tonges will hold his own and produce again

C. Ultra confident team that just knocked off the defending SB champs in Philly
D. Defense held them to 13 2 weeks ago and is seemingly better
E. Kyle wants to pwn McDonald like McDonald pwn'd him a couple weeks ago

I don't think they will cover that 7.5 spread at the very minimum. Niners can do it but cannot lose track of JSN. If he goes off we lose. I think we handle their run game better and will come down to Darnold feeding JSN

Absolutely agree on this part. I stopped questioning what comes out of Vegas years ago, as it is crazy how often they get it right.

But this spread seems insane. Seattle would have covered that in the last game, but it was kind of a perfect storm.

Seattle should be favored, but it feels like -4.

Nah. I know we're 49ers fans hoping for a win, and if you think about it enough times it starts to feel real. But the Seahawks are better than us on all 3 facets. Better offense, much much better defense, and equal STs. We're just overmatched on all fronts, unless Darnold the xfactor craps the bed an starts seeing Warner's ghosts. Seahawks would need 3-4 TOs then maybe we have a chance. -7.5 feels about right to me.

Just don't watch the game then. Also, Seattle is NOT better on offense than the 49ers by any real metric. This is the divisional round of the playoffs. No team is leaps better than the other.

They're a better offense in scoring this year Seattle is #3, we're #10. We're better in yardage. We're #7, they're #8.

Having said that...we've missed a bunch of our top players and our defense has spent a lot more time on the field. If Seattle lost JSN early in the game they'd be toast.

Metrics like DVOA and EPA favor us - especially since Purdy returned. They got a lot of points from advantageous situations their offense was put in by their D and ST.

I also think having TW and RP is gonna help the offense a lot this game.

...and having Warner and Kendrick together will make a HUGE difference against Seattle's running game. In the last game, it was those early runs that put us behind in TOP and we never really got back in it. Make Sam win the game by passing.

Having all four of those guys in this game will make the difference. I wonder if the line will move once the active list is up?

Plus Sigle has great closing speed and looked way better at tackling against the eagles. Our safeties lacked speed and reliable tackling.

Having sigle, Warner, Kendrick's out there - all fresh and reliable tacklers that most bring speed, is a massive difference than what we had. Then we will have wallow or Dee as a third and fourth backer.

couple all that with Trent playing and Ricky Pearsall, that's a completely different teams

Seahawks are a really good squad but we are a really good squad too. We have the better qb. Just need the o line to give him a good pocket
Having gone back and rewatching both games, some things stood out. The successful runs came when running behind the tackles. When running behind center and gaurd the runs were stuffed. Basically Seattle's tackles are dominant, run away from them and not at them.
Also, stay out of shotgun. When purdy is in shotgun, in the second game, seattle was keying on it. They had a silent call on, when in shotgun they blitz.
Finally, seattle will let you complete small pass plays of 5 yards. Be patient and take those. Stay out of negative first down plays. Once we were in a second and more than 10, in both games, most of the drives were done.

Damn if Kittle was okay it would have been a decent unit we'd be fielding…
If the pff grades mean anything, all three phases of the Seattle defense are pretty good. They will have 2 guys on McCaffrey, and if they don't, they deserve to lose. It will boil down to: Robinson, Tonges, JJ, Juice. Is Pearsall ready?
Motivation:49ers > Seattle
49ers have to score at least 20 points more than the last Seattle matchup, to win.

Every game this weekend mixed bag in terms of pundits picking the victor. Except for the Niners game, everyone picking Seahawks to win big. 😂
