I was wondering the same. The espn playoff machine says the same thing.
Series split 1-1
Division record will be identical
I think they then beat us on common opponent

Tiebreakers in-division:

1. H2h
2. Division Record
3. Common opponent record.

The 49ers currently hold the tiebreaker over the Rams due to division record. If the Rams win next week and the 49ers lose, they will be tied in division record. Rams win common opponent tiebreaker.

We would have the same record in Division but they would be 10-4 vs us at 9-5 for common opponent. I thought it use to be conference record after Division record which we would come out better but I guess they changed that over the NFL website .
