Kendricks is going to be the play caller?

The defense isn't going to be better right away upon his (current state) arrival... as Shanny stated, he is still building on his "conditioning"
That's more Kendrick's fault for not staying in football shape just incase a desperate team needed a LB like him ASAP. Luckily for 49ers / Kendricks, he didn't waste away on the sofa, I'm sure he stayed fit, but just not quite football shape / ready
49ers did good to get him anyway just incase of more injuries. Plus, once he is conditioned enough (couple weeks), he's good enough to take someone's job.
I'm not happy that he switched on us at spur of the moment type sh!t last year, but 49ers put egos aside... another step that proves Shanny / Lynch actually are taking playoffs serious, though they don't really express it much
I think he's more insurance then anything else. I don't think they were pleased with Robinson last week or they needed a vet behind Robinson.
He's good insurance (if healthy) too. We really might not need him till the playoffs, but he could get a warmup vs Titans just to see what they got in him. By then, 4 weeks gone by, should be good to go for some snaps in a real game.
They could sprinkle him in some against following games (all playoff teams). Bethune could be back by then (ER over Tatum)

Darn BRICK AFTER BRICK BROTHERS got NO PRIDE !!!
And if they hadn't signed anyone you would be complaining that they had made no effort to fill in for the injuries. I have no idea why you gave them such a ridiculous nickname but they are showing more pride in the team than you are. Some of those emergency pickups have turned gold.
Not sure about you, but I can't accept being a 2nd choice.
Lucky for us you're not running the team…
if he can help improve on what we have then I don't care if he chose us 32nd.
yes yes.. he may be able to play FB for us, and that'll help.. but he ain't happening as a LB I tell you that much..

This guy should be in if Bathune struggles or isn't ready to come back yet. Robinson is a horrible tackler and just average in coverage. Whereas Kendricks has been an excellent lb for years and had a great year last year. I believe he picked off Jimmy G vs the Vikings.

Kendricks and Ferrell are going to be our Warner/Bosa replacements by having the best two months of their careers and that's all we will need!
((Don't worry I'll come back to reality probably by Christmas let me just be high for now lol))

There is obviously a drop off, but this is ultimately a team sport. The drop off can be mitigated by excellent coaching.
Naturally, our defense has performed well at home, except for the Rams and a quarter of the Jags games.
Playing 3 of these last 4 crucial games at home is HUGE. I like the defense in that setting.

So I think theres a couple of things with Kendricks
First, theres no question he will play Mike if he is to play. Ive read one of the reasons he said he went for dallas instead of us last year is because he could play Mike there instead of Willl.
Winters is the unquestionable starter at Will right now, with all of his caveats.
Second, Bethune's injury is something to watch. They don't trust Graham and I dont think they fully trust Robinson. Robinson is smart and reliable, but hes really a ST player who isnt fast and unless the tackle is right there, he does miss them. Not clear when Bethune is returning and whether it will impact him.
Third, neither Bethune nor especially Robinson can do stuff like carry the seam against a good receiver. Kendricks could do this before, he is very old now, but hes been one of the better Mike LBs in coverage in his career. He has several Jimmy souvenirs.

Anyone know if he's been practicing with the first team?

I think he could be a game changer. He might provide the real time adjustments that we need to cut down on a lot of those frustrating conversions and explosives that have burned us. Will he be in charge of the back four?

They announced signing him, then he disappeared. Where is this guy ?
hence you're now the 3rd choice
