Correct. However, they're signed with their respective teams and not going anywhere.

Who is available for trade that meets your criteria
You can find an elite linebacker and pass rusher on teams whose seasons are definitely over - Jets, Titans and Saints. And maybe teams with only 2 wins like Giants and Dolphins.

The closest you're getting is throwing a pick at the Saints for Demario Davis and Cam Jordan.

They're a decade older and maybe 60% as good lol

It wouldn't matter if we were the #1 seed, this team is not winning anything. It's just wasting your time pipe dreaming up playoff scenarios. If you can't see that from the play on the field then you're not paying attention.

We should have back our starting QB next week and our WR1 Ayiuk should be back too. Those are huge changes.

Huff will soon be back and I think we trade for an elite linebacker as well as elite pass rusher.

I forgot about Pearsall too.

We can win the Super Bowl with those players.
We better trade for some o line for that to happen

The only elite players on any of those teams are Jeffrey Simmons, Quinnen Williams, Garrett Wilson, Sauce, and Brian Burns. And I'm pretty sure all of those are untradeable except for MAYBE Quinnen Williams.

More than likely we'll get someone like Arden Key or Cameron Jordan. And honestly rightfully so. There's no reason to trade a Day 1 or 2 pick unless it's for a player who will last beyond this season.

Jordan is good value and rental... won't cost much and won't have to give up early pick (maybe 4th or 5th and a player). Plus he's still doing a solid job and brings a lot of good experience. Huff and another specialist (if brought in) can just focus on pinning their ears back and attack while Jordan and Williams set the edge

Davis could be had too for cheap, but I'd rather they explore Carl Granderson if dealing with Saints. CG is 28 and could be a part of the team next year if he balls out

Now that Miami won another game and they're not giving up yet, I highly doubt Chubb (most of us prefer) will be available anytime soon. Maybe Will McDonald IV, but he's supposedly only a "one trick pony" and not good vs the run.

A good safety (Simmons or Whitehead) would be really helpful right about now...

Nobody. If any team was willingto trade players of that caliber they would want 1st round draft picks.

In the next 2 weeks, I think:
49ers win at Giants and at home against Rams
Rams win at home against Saints and lose at 49ers
Seattle loses at Washington and wins at home against AZ

This creates a 3 way tie in NFC West with 49ers holding the tiebreaker

I guess you could say we All win out, but the games we play each other in, we all tie. Then we would hold the tie breaker.

The teams would have to want to trade those players as well and the 49ers would have to be willing to give up draft picks or cap space to secure them. With all of the injuries they've had this year, they are more than one or two players away. While I'm certainly not suggesting they throw in the towel I think they have to be realistic about what they can accomplish this season and how to continue to best position themselves for the long term.

Once they get through the Rams' game, their schedule looks pretty favorable for the next several weeks, and there is a chance Huff comes back soon, which would take off a little pressure to find an edge rusher. He was sorely missed yesterday.

We're not bad against the run but the pass rush and coverage have been abysmal. Could use a coverage LB and a rotational pass rusher. I'd be leary of spending big on a premier guy unless he's here long term. I can see the Quinnen Williams thing because we have nobodies up the middle and a prospect in Collins and West. On the edge we already have Huff and Bosa as proven pass rush guys and a high level prospect there in Mykel Williams.
