Niners were favored by 2.5 points. I actually had us losing this game prior to it starting. So I am taking any win vs a key divisional opponent.
What are they b***hing about now?
There were a lot of mistakes but they won and there's a lot to like too.
There is a lot to not like as well..
They really don't look very good.
Cool. You're welcome to not enjoy the win.
49ers had total disarray in camp with injuries all over the place. No consistency and went into a tough divisional game where they had 2 missed/blocked kicks, tough penalties and 2 bad picks by Brock. George Kittle gets hurt before the 2nd half. Jennings leaves the game late and isn't on the field for the game winning TD.
Defense with 3 rookie starters and two more playing serious snaps.
They won the game. If you expected perfection out of the gate you weren't being realistic. A win is a win. They lose this game 100% last season.
Now go and make it 2-0 with a tough travel spot and likely missing two key guys on offense in Kittle and JJ.
You're the absolute KING of excuses lol. I see you post them all the time. You're welcome to watch the game without rose colored glasses. Glad they won. But if the goal is to win a SB they don't look good.

It's a young team and it's week 1. Relax. This will be a better team as season goes on. I think that is pretty obvious to most people. You take a road division win in a week one any day of the week.

I was really surprised with the defense. Especially second half. It wasn't really sexy but they actually did a really good job overall. Got better as the game went on. Lots to improve but I thought it would be worse on D and better on O.

You can say that about 90% of the teams that played this week.

In the end, Darnold / Seattle got cooked and cucked. He didn't see ghosts today, but still feared monsters were coming to eat him

If you listen to Cohn you'd think we lost 45-7, gosh that guy is such a damn insufferable prick. Does he give Purdy any credit for making the game-winning TD, hell no he s**ts all over him and the whole offense

I honestly expected a bit worse than we got on both sides.... We know under Shanny this is a late peak team, early in the season it seems to take a while longer then most NFL teams to gel, and then on the flip side...the teams seem to peak a little higher when it matters down the stretch.
I totally agree with you on that defense.....that looked "unrealistically better than average expectations" good at times.

BTW, I know I was a tiny bit harsh with some plays / players, but given this is a the first game, on the road and a heated rivalry... we've got a lot of newcomers and kids on the team. Their ceiling is high. They'll get all the kinks worked out and mistakes done early. They're going to be nothing nice come playoff time. Just stay healthy!!

O would have looked much better if Kittle and JJ had been available.

This game was an exact repeat of the last time we played Seattle (same score too).
Last year, we gave up a TD with 12 seconds left to lose 20-17.
This year, in the exact same situation, we forced a fumble and won the game.
It's nice to have a legit defensive coordinator again.

It helps that we had Nick Bosa on the final drive this year.
Last year, he left the game before the final drive with an injury.
