Niners were favored by 2.5 points. I actually had us losing this game prior to it starting. So I am taking any win vs a key divisional opponent.

What are they b***hing about now?

There were a lot of mistakes but they won and there's a lot to like too.

There is a lot to not like as well..

They really don't look very good.

Don't disagree they were sloppy. But tons of rookies every where, mistakes, turnovers and still get a win on the road on a last drive. Outgained them and won TOP. They are a better team than Seattle. That's why they won.

They lost this game a lot last year. This year its a win.

Yeah....at first I thought it was intercepted.....I was so happy to see the TD.

Tonges is way more athletic than I thought. the third down conversion he caught while sliding was a good catch and then the way he ripped that ball out of the air? give this guy some more effin plays. why are we not using him?

Him and Kittle as a duo would be great, if he can be consistent. we need to throw to him more often.
No way around it, tonges won the game. Huge fourth down conversion and snagged the TD out of the interception.

We escaped with that W, it should have been a loss. We lost Kittle for a few games probably. Jennings is out for who knows how long. The run blocking is mediocre at times. Pass protection is still suspect. Moody is still on the team. We have no WRs that the opposing defenses has to game plan for. This is gonna be a long season. We are in road again next week in NO, a other tough stadium to play in.

Niners had almost 400 yards of offense to the Seahawks 230 or so. If anything the Seahawks were lucky they were even in that game.

Yet SEA still could have won that game if it wasn't for Bosa.

Because of our own mistakes. They would have been lucky to win.

If we had a kicker we win 23-13

I'd take that all day long with this young roster to start the year

I know damn well people ain't complaining about this win, nothing about this game was gonna be easy being that it's week 1, at Seattle and new faces/2nd year on the team playing big roles. I'm watching multiple games and if we had a kicker like all these other teams have that consistently make 50 yd kicks look easy we win this game without stressing crazily. Just the fact this team overcame injuries and 2 boneheaded Brock INT's just shows this team is different. Saleh seriously is the biggest off season get

The block wasn't his fault, but that layup definitely was.

Cool. You're welcome to not enjoy the win.

49ers had total disarray in camp with injuries all over the place. No consistency and went into a tough divisional game where they had 2 missed/blocked kicks, tough penalties and 2 bad picks by Brock. George Kittle gets hurt before the 2nd half. Jennings leaves the game late and isn't on the field for the game winning TD.

Defense with 3 rookie starters and two more playing serious snaps.

They won the game. If you expected perfection out of the gate you weren't being realistic. A win is a win. They lose this game 100% last season.

Now go and make it 2-0 with a tough travel spot and likely missing two key guys on offense in Kittle and JJ.

Go look at that kick again and tell me that kick was going through…

Agree. Good end result for a team that will clearly only get better as the season goes on.
I've been saying for years, don't sleep on Tonges.
Glad to have come away with the win. Rams and Cardinals won so they needed to keep pace after going 1-5 in the Division last year. Plus, Green Bay looked pretty solid in their win. Road to the playoffs goes through the Division first. Hopefully, they'll get some of the kinks worked out as they continue through the season. Go Niners!

We did lose this exact game last year.

We were up 17-13 on Seattle and Geno scored the TD to win it with 12 seconds left.

This year, the defense forced a fumble and won it.

I really thought we were going to lose to Sam Darnold two years in a row during week 1 with a new team. Thank goodness we didn't.

I'm also done with Moody. Even the one he made was a bit stressful. I guess he's just not a good kicker? No other way to slice it

It wasn't week 1 last year
I don't care as long as we weren't the team that got cucked, win's a win
