Colby will Starting by the end of the year.
I believe Tonges caught that near where Sherman tipped the ball in the NFC Championship back in 2013.

Well it's a shame we had Crabtree in that game instead of Jake Tonges.

-Purdy was making stupid decisions and even the game-winning throw was another stupid decision but he was bailed by Tongues. It seems that 2023-Purdy was an outlier because the 2024-Purdy is the real one.

-Brendel and Bartch are hot garbage.

-CMC is a freaking warrior.

-Mykel Williams was invisible but we could expect that after missing the pre-season.

-Upton Stout isn't ready to start.

-Dee Winters was the best player on defense.

-Nick Bosa saved the day.

This team has a long way to go but I'm really worried about Purdy because he looks like Jimmy G with a weaker arm.

Before you guys come at me: Yes. I'm enjoying the win but I'm not blind.

From now on every FG that Moody misses is 100% Shanahan's fault.

This is a good summary. Agreed. I also like that Kyle used Robinson a bit to spell CMC

Yup, I mostly agree with this summary. I think we got a lucky win but I'll take it any day. My biggest pet peeves on game 1 are :

1) Moody is hearing voices in his head.....serious confidence problem.....he should be released tonight. Hope he gets a clean start somewhere but he is so unreliable, even on chip shots. Nice kid. Cut him.

2) We need to keep addressing the pass rush....I think we stopped the run way better than last year but would like to get a lot more pressure on opposing QB. Other than infrequent pass rush....thought our defence played well, especially Dee Winters.

3) Purdy under pressure too often....we need to get address the O-Line. That said.....over-all he played a decent game but that 2nd interception was pathetic. I can understand a rookie QB throwing into triple coverage, but Purdy is paid way too much cash to do stupid throws like that.

Hopefully we will clean up the problems in the next few games.

We got lucky

It's not really lucky. Our offense was good, not great, but had 3 scoring drives. Purdy made a couple mistakes, but also made some clutch plays. Bosa once again made a game changing play when it mattered. Lucky would be a fluke play. We were just good enough to overcome a mediocre performance.
Had them at 8-9 wins before the season and this game sums up why I thought that. The O line is going to be the death of them as usual. Sporty QB play and the kicker is atrocious.

Our run defense shut down Walker, which is no small feat. Passing game didn't kill us. I'd say they focused on the right dimension and got the job done.

Yeah, our run defence was WAY better than last year. That was nice to see.
In the end its a gritty in on the road against a division rival.

We outplayed them and tried to give it away.

The defense was quite good. Good pushed around on one drive and I did not love the 2 min D but they were good vs the run. Seattle barely threw the ball. Got two turnovers.

I suspect the kids on the DL played well and we will see it when we look at the film.

I love having a real DC. Salah was great. The secondary will be very good by year end. Great game by Sigle. Green got beat late but he is a stud.

Kyle was too stubborn running into stacked boxes. Especially in the redzone. Drives me nuts.

Redzone offense was pure ass.

Purdy was good until two back picks in the second half. Last drive was clutch. Dime to Pearsall. The last TD was like his 4th read and he created and gave a guy a chance. He cannot turn it over though.

The OL namely Bartch and Brendal were ass. Blown the F up. No many running lanes.

CMC is healthy and is a warrior.

Moody is ass. He needs to go.

Overall special teams didnt look any better to me. Kick coverage was meh, muffed punts, got a kick blocked. WTF

In the end though a great result and it sets up some nice early momentum.

Road win in the division week 1 sets them up well.

On number 2 there were honestly no many pass rushing opportunities.

Yeah....at first I thought it was intercepted.....I was so happy to see the TD.
Lots to improve but a win on the road against a team in your division has the weight of two wins. I attribute alot of mistakes to not playing as a full team until today. The only problem I see that needs to be addressed now is the kicking game. All good teams have good STs. We don't because of our place kicker. Kittle's injury didn't seem to affect CMC as much as I thought it would. CMC actually ran better in the second half. Want to see more from Bryce Huff. Defense needs to gel on the back end. They haven't been together in game situations. This was a good start.

Tonges is way more athletic than I thought. the third down conversion he caught while sliding was a good catch and then the way he ripped that ball out of the air? give this guy some more effin plays. why are we not using him?

Him and Kittle as a duo would be great, if he can be consistent. we need to throw to him more often.
