It's 90% muscle and soft tissue issues.

It can't be bad luck

Speaking of baseball (although off topic), do you'all hate the Dodgers?
I don't, but I think they will get hammered tonight, all thanks to them making Shohei Game 7 plans all-freaking-ready!
(I done posted this in the Major League Baseball thread down there over there).

I was wrong.

What would you suggest he should do?

Honestly a lot of these soft issue injuries (like hamstrings) are about recovery, stretching and conditioning imo. We honestly can't think that they don't do a lot of this stuff already.

players come back to soon and re-aggravate stuff. Players don't do enough recovery and stretching.

part of what makes a good player great is being available, it's about taking care of your body and structure. Some of these injuries are on the players themselves.

also, some of this stuff is just part of playing a fast violent game with massive humans hitting each other.

nothing you can do about broken bones and torn ACLs when 300lb guys are falling on your legs.

I agree with much of what you said but I also suspect that overuse of strength supplements (legal and illegal) may be having an effect on the elasticity of muscles and tendons. There seems to be an increase in the number of players being ruled out because of hamstring injuries.

I agree completely that blaming the Niner injuries on the training staff is silly. I doubt that their trainers are doing anything much different than other training staffs.
At this point I think they need to fire the team doctors. Guys are getting cleared and then immediately having setbacks. Our doctors must absolutely suck with diagnostics.

No, you can't avoid broken bones but muscle injuries can be prevented to an extent,

It's ridiculous how many soft tissue injures we constantly have

I don't know. Maybe whatever the other 31 teams are doing?

This isn't a one year thing with Shanahan. We have been the most injured team since he took over in 2017. We just have to be doing something different. It's not luck or coincidence at this point
Maybe it's the Cal weather but then the Rams don't have this many injuries. Maybe it's the power station that our stadium is built on. Maybe it's Shanahan and how he practices. Maybe we need a better strength and conditioning coach.

But regardless, something needs to change. These guys get paid alot of money. Someone has to figure this out.
