The 49ers can place 2 players on IR DR in order to save two roster spots for the initial 53, correct?
IR DR is limited to 8 or 10 players per team per season IIRC depending on making the playoffs.

My final projection for the 53, with injured lists & practice squad, plus 2025 & 2026 salary cap outlook with this roster.

If I was Lynch, I wouldn't waive Junior Bergen, Connor Colby, Drew Moss, & Sebastian Valdez, I think they'd all be claimed, I went with 5 WRs cause no way you waive a player in hopes of clearing waivers & then he gets claimed, see Jarrett Kingston last year, just don't do it, players like that have to go through waiver, while players like Gage, Hodgins, Chosen don't go through waivers, so you keep the younger players so you don't lose them, then you have a handshake agreement to sign the guys who don't go through waivers to the PS, but that's my philosophy.

Come on, you know better than that. The final projection is the day before the 53 comes out officially.

I can see him over Anderson but I'd rather keep young guys with more upside, he wasn't great last yr.
Another 49ers skill-position injury: Wide receiver Russell Gage, who was being counted on to help replace other injured receivers, is believed to have suffered a sprained MCL that is expected to sideline him 7 to 10 days, per sources. https://t.co/d4v3tYUKMx pic.twitter.com/y3RLDfSXVg
