Colby was obvious and may even fill in at starter for a few games. Moss is pretty good. Sebastian Valdez is surprising IMO.

Im also glad the Zakelj taking a roster spot thing is over with (I bet he goes to PS because no other team wants him). Colby flashed more in 3 preseason games than he has ever shown.

Yup, was mad we kept him of Kingston, yes I know he's available again.

They give some piss-poor reasoning like, "we want to keep the league's competitive balance intact," or some crap. Expanding the rosters by just a little, especially with more games in a season, just is common football sense on so many levels. And, you think the NFLPA would push hard for it to allow more guys to be a part of teams (and thus, earn $) and also have more chances at playing time with all the injuries.

More players with the same cap means players make less money ... would YOU vote for it if you were a player?

I'm glad Colby and Moss made it.

They kept Moss instead of Valdez. It was either one or the other, Bethune beat out Curtis Robinson.

Really think Valdez is better than Moss at their respective positions. Connor Colby is an obvious keeper. Much better than his draft position. We need it too.

He'll make it to the PS, no team's coaches are in love with this dude the way we are in WZ

I'm just glad they chose Colby/Moss over Nugent and Nut Sackelj

Man Nugent was so bad. Mental errors, no strength at the point of attack, slow feet. He played just terrible. Good to get rid of him.

yeah hes PS material only.

only highlight Nugent had against Chargers was at the end of the game when he seeked out Harbaugh

technically they arent getting rid of him...hes been on PS last year and hes probably going to be on it this year again.

Would love to see them get him back. But I think they're set with Drew Moss and Conor Colby.

In one pre-season weekend he was the top rated center by PFF.

He got worse from last year ... at this point I don't think there is room on PS for him.

Kingston didn't play center with the 49ers and was cut and claimed.
So who's punting ? We cut ours?

Shany doesn't plan on punting.

Morstead will still be the punter.

In order to put a player on IR, they first have to be added to the active roster. Since Morestead has been in the league longer then 4 years, he's not subject to waivers and is an unrestricted free agent.

Once they're able to put a player, like Cowing, on IR, that roster spot will free up and then they'll re-sign Morstead.

Probably Juice for now he's apparently the backup everything. This has to be the only team in the league with no punter on the initial 53 man, SMH
