Valdez should honestly be considered for a starting role. He has been our best D-lineman this offseason and looks the most game ready.... every down DT's are hard to come by. There is no way they try to sneak him onto the practice squad because it WILL NOT HAPPEN, another team will snatch him up guaranteed. He has shown too much this preseason. If they planned on trying to sneak him on to the practice squad, they would not have given him an opportunity to show how good he is in that 3rd preseason game.

He looks like make the squad at least. Or starter or at least in the rotation. He can play. No way he's a practice squad guy. So far he looks better than our 2nd rounder by a lot. It's not even close.
Just remember guys, some of the guys we cut today will be on the team tomorrow. Especially the vets.

Though he would make it over Luter. Maybe they both don't make it, though.

Some of the equation might be figuring out who they can cut and bring back once they can make the post-cutdown injury moves. It makes more sense in some cases to cut guys that aren't subject to waivers to reduce the risk of losing them.

I think they have to cut Moody to save that spot. Even if they bring him back later in the week. Zero risk anyone picks him up.

maybe back on the PS?

Luter plays ST

If they can get him on the PS. Wanted him somehow on the 53 - really like how he runs the ball in this scheme, knows this scheme, has a knack for getting into the end zone, and can fill in nicely if/as needed at any given moment.

I f**king HATE that there's only 53 spots allowed still, especially after moving to a 17-game schedule. At the rate players get injured, especially at RB and also over the course of a looooong season + playoffs, really hoping the NFL takes a look at this and eventually adds another few spots to 56 or something. If they end up going to an 18-game schedule, you would think they'd have to allow for slightly larger rosters.

His days were numbered when we acquired Robinson. He was an insurance policy.
We better sign Wilson, Flowers after our roster maneuvers.

I will be surprised if they cut him. His resume from college is too strong for some team to not pick him up. A change of scenery is ofter all that is needed for someone of this level to succeed.

Of course, I've been surprised before...

Don't care if he plays ST. Still getting over him on ST in that last SB - thought his blunder midway through the 3rd when the Chiefs hadn't scored a TD and then were gifted great field position & then got a TD really turned that game. Was absolutely screaming at the TV when it happened. Still haven't gotten over it but need to, I know.

Also not impressed at all w/ him at CB during his time here up through this preseason. We'll see if he ends up making it.
