All these injuries are not the players' fault.

Do you really think that the 49er training staff is doing things so differently than other teams? These people share info. There are no secrets. I bet most of the staff has been with other organizations. It's just random bad luck. I'm sure you've had injuries of some type in your life. Was it because of the way you kept in shape? More likely just an accident.
The 49ers have had more than their share of injuries in recent years and it's frustrating to the fans, the players and the coaches but other teams get a lot of injuries too. I just looked at the current injury list and several teams have more plaers on ther list than the Niners. It's a violent game played by oversized men. Bones, ligaments and tendons were not built to withstand the violence that an NFL game produces. All the training on the world isn't going to make those things stonger.
If the NFL really wanted to cut down on injuries they would limit the sizeof the players. Of course they aren't going to do that because bigger is better, right.

Not only do they believe the 49ers training staff doesn't have them stretch (lol??), they believe that professional athletes who have done this all their lives wouldn't know how to "properly stretch".
It's pretty funny to see the b***hing after any injury

Just frustration. We always want to try and find out why stuff happens. It's just human nature. Some Niner fans just need to realize that injuries are prevalent all over the league. I imagine Bengals fans are frustrated that Burrow keeps getting hurt. They're going to happen and all you can do is hope they're minor and not to key players.

Training staffs do make a difference. The Warriors lost their head trainer and their injury rate went up. That's just the most recent example but there have been several cases where trends change with staff changes.
That said, football and injuries go together.

If any of this is on Kyle then the whole organization is failing. Player health is not on the head coach.

The point I was trying to make was the way players train now isn't substantially different from one team to the next. Maybe the mountoftime they spend on specific things but even then it's not that different. Many players have a personal trainer as well.
If anything can be blamed for the number of early season injuries I would look at the rules that now limit the number of days teams can practice in the off season. Along with coaches nit playing starters much if at all in the pre season. The players aren't in game shape thise first couple of games.

My comment wasn't directed at you.
I agree that the off-season player access is a contributor to the injury issues. The NFLPA sells these changes are critical to protect players from suffering from "fatigue".
The higher rated rookies generally do have private trainers but they are just training them for the combine (while the lower rated rookies tend to "train" with friends or their college coaches) which is not what they need for playing, then they stop really training while they do the NFL rookie post draft off-season stuff.
Then they have mostly enforced time off pending signing a contract.
Jennings issues are probably directly related to his contract situation too.
I know some players agents used to have their own training staffs to take care of their players, but I think most of those have been cut out.

It was noted that after the Denver practices they stretch differently before the game and for longer .
Shanahan gets right into it because his playbook is so complex and we only have so much time to practice while Denver was still stretching

This take is absolutely full of s**t
They talked the difference between SF and Den in detail that week and the focus was on modern stretching programs
There are 2 schools of thought 1) warm stretching and 2) cold stretching
Most of us old timers grew up with cold stretching. You do a bunch of stretches before any exercise is performed to "loosen up" before starting regular activities. This is also easier for fans to see because you see large groups of people doing it at once
Modern trainers believe in warm stretching. You can't stretch a muscle out until it is warmed up sufficiently. You skip the large group stretching period and focus on activities to warm up and stretch while in motion. This is what the 49ers currently do (and many other athletic programs).
I know jack s**t about athletic warm up programs. This was all from 49ers coverage when they saw the difference with how Denver prepares

The 49ers placed Spencer Burford on IR, but not Jordan Watkins.

They also did not elevate Nick Zakelj from the practice squad, so that means:
-Connor Colby will play at LG or
-Rookie Drew Moss will start in his place

And this probably means that they are expecting Colby to be ready to play,... if they were expecting him to miss they should have elevated Zakejl,... they couldn't go with Puni and Moss as the only 2 Guards in the 53

Why do Kyle shanahan and John Lynch continue to allow these injuries to happen???
