49ers select Marques Sigle-S-Kansas State with the 160th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft

He made slim reaper look tiny. I believe Sigle is not over 6'0 but he looks like it and hits like it. He took out Saquon Barkley with a hit.

Is it possible this team got better with Brown going out and Sigle coming in?

Yes!

Brown, Bethune, Winters all out... the D looked better. MM needs to learn how to read a frikken sentence, fast and physical, but sucks

When Sigle was out there early in the season his coverage was really awful to the point he got benched. He definitely showed major improvement tonight.

When Sigle was out there early in the season his coverage was really awful to the point he got benched. He definitely showed major improvement tonight.

U expect that from a rookie.. but he's played solid from what I remember... but 6 just will be USED especially against Seattle or Rams when we play them ..

I don't care how faster and more athletic those young guys are than kendricks but come playoff time I'd trust his experience and today he showed just that.

Absolutely. I don't mind he's 34 yrs old, if dude can still ball, bring him back. Btw, he may may be very fast, but he isn't slow or average

Nah, Brown made a couple of key stops before he went out with an injury.

Sigle was drafted as a project player who showed his potential tonight. Good coaching works.

It looked like the defense got better once Sigle came in, but lets not forget he was giving up huge numbers to qbs when he played so lets not get too excited.

With Sigle and Kendricks starting, we just got WAAAY more athletic in the middle and back end of the defense.

more athletic and far better tackling,... Sigle and Kendriks are excellent tacklers something we were failing to do big way past games,... how many tackles we missed against the chickenhawks? weren't something like 23?

Kendriks will no doubt start next Sat (with Bethune out for the season) and I really hope that Sigle also starts,... no matter if Brown is ready,... Sigle is far better in coverage (has improved biig way since the start of the season) and tackling

Wallow was also very good,... he started a little bit out of rythm (totally understandable) but improved with the game and end up making some good tackles,... seems far better than CurtisRobinson to be out there

In coverage he's about the same as Brown. But where Sigle shines is his tackling and not letting the ball carrier pass him. Brown tries to make the big splashy hit and whiffs too much. Sigle breaks down and tackles. The pass to Smith in open field was a great example of this. I feel like Brown would have missed that trying to come in with a splashy tackle.
