I think Kyle just loves how the entire playbook is open with CMC on the field (cause of his incredible all around skill set). When you bring other backs in (that aren't well rounded), it limits the play calls.
i 100% agree that we need a rotation of guys. I'd prefer to see CMC and Black/James on the field at the same time. Line them up at slot or have them run routes out of the backfield, whatever. Both can pass pro really well.
i actually like having CMC/Black/james. Only knock on that group is that none of them can have the speed to go for a long touchdown. lol all three would most likely get caught before they get to the endzone. Maybe CMC was just exhausted but he didn't seem to have the same burners last year.
I agree. But the question is whether CMC still has the speed to allow Kyle's plays to won't work well and consistently, including chunk plays. CMC still has quickness, which I think serves him particularly well as a receiver. I thought they might use him there more often in 2026 until they drafted a WR first.
CMC def didn't have the same juice, IMO. He wasn't bad either. I think we over relied on him too, so he was wore down and beat down at the end of the year.
I hope we use some sort of double or triple headed monster this year. I really like James and black. I think black will be a better pass catcher than projected too.
im not concerned about those guys contributing, im concerned Kyle won't ask them to.
