Yep.
We made that pick really quick. I think it's pretty clear he was our guy all along unless one of the bigger names fell. I trust Saleh completely.

At the 11 pick they should not be a project they should contribute from the get go. If he is considered a project then it's not a good pick.

He's not really a project. He's played in 40 games at the SEC level at the age of 20. Pass rush skills are a work in progress but he's already an NFL level run stopper at DE so he can contribute immediately, no need to move his position or try to figure out where he fits.

Always the good insight and reason. 👊

At least he was part of a championship level team
The next interesting thing will be if Mike Green drops. Picks 15 thru 17 need Edge so he should go soon unless they are scared of the off-the-field stuff.
How far is Walker going to drop? geez

Yup. He had issues setting the edge on run downs. He is really good in the run and is still developing as a pass rusher. I knew there would be push back, but honestly a lot of players outside the top 8 have issues I dont love so they just went with the super athletic edge player.

The problem with Walker is that he's only a great fit in a limited number of defenses. He's a unique player that you need to utilize creatively. Bill Belichick would have had a field day with a guy like him. I could see the Vikings and Flores going after him as well. He's not a traditional edge rusher, not a traditional linebacker, you kind of have to move him around, use him as a blitzer, take full advantage of his tools.
