Seems like he might be traded to a team that lost its starter. Id be all for it if we get at least a second. Use that second to move up and get a starting LT next draft

I say we send AIR MAC 10 and a 2nd (in 2028) to the Giants for

Kayvon and a 3rd rounder (in 2027) that can turn into a 2nd (in 2028) if 10 takes them to the Super Bowl.

They just lost burns for several weeks so they won't be doing that

With all due respect, how does sitting Mac on a bench bring the 49ers a trophy? It doesn't. Not in the slightest. I do not think we can pry a quality starter from a contending team. Why weaken that team to pry a QB from the 49ers? It doesn't make sense for a playoff contender that needs a QB RIGHT NOW.

Contending teams, however, will deal picks. The Rams have done it. As fans, we have witnessed the Rams trade away draft capital to get "the guy." I am sure there have probably been calls placed to 49er HQ to inquire about Mac's services. If I am Kyle, I'm pushing for the highest pick I can get for Mac.

Wouldn't trade Mac for pics as we all well know 49ers High Draft Picks seem to not Provide the Value a Proven starter might provide at a position of need like DT or Edge. Would Trade for picks if they get Some 1 Like Defo in return. And yes i know Mac wont get traded to the Colts. In Pick or players they might get from the Giants then convert them in for Defo.

The only return we should get for Mckorckle in a trade is a gamechanger and nothing less

If we could get a defensive player like Thibodeaux and a pick, I'd do it.

The reason to keep him isn't the mindset that if Brock goes down we can ride Mac Jones to a SB win. The point is if Brock misses a chunk of the regular season or even a key game down the stretch that decides playoff seeding (or getting in at all) Mac can win games for us & hold it down until Purdy returns. Think of last year, without Mac, we don't make the playoffs.

You sir, are very correct. We had a lot of QB injuries that season. Do you recall? The starter (Lance) went out. His backup (Jimmy G.) also went out. Team fortunes at that point fell to a third-string nobody. He was the third option that year. There was nobody behind him. Did it hurt the 49ers to not have a fourth guy? Yes, it did. It's not that we didn't have a quality backup. BP WAS THE QUALITY BACKUP. Now you have BP, Mac and some kid who looked really good in the preseason: Kurtis Rourke. Until the 49ers substation reached out and whacked his ribs. Trading Mac does not derail the season if BP goes down. Unless Rourke goes down. Then, yeah...
