KRO it is OK. Do not fret. I am glad you posted.
You even opened up a great new idea.
How about ANYONE out there who can formulate a Name That Niner question, feel FREE to do so? Here.
My only desire, and preference, is that they stay CLEAN, and honest.
Much like a Jeopardy question would be. I think that way this thread can live on and on, like those that live on and on do.
KRO. Maybe you can just give us the answer and explain how you crafted the question around his name?

I also looked at it late last night and was stumped. I did pick up on The Queen reference possibly* being Cinci, but other cities also have the same nickname (The Queen City). Dwight Clark was who my initial thought was, but I couldn't make it make sense with the other part of the clue, lol. Never would have got it.

Jasen ISOm (Tribute to Isosceles)
Fullback 2001 – 2004, 7 games, 1 start, 1 reception for 1 yard. (Offense, vet, 4 times named, held that 1 special moment, starting that (1) game, later clues 1 yard, played with Hearst during his come back 2001 -2003)
Lived New York, Long Island. College Western Illinois. (lived east, later corrected clue Leather- necks - 350mi from cinci)
UDFA was cut during try outs for 49ers. Came home and took a job as a Janitor at his old school on Long Island. Worked hard in the small gym and kept trying out for the Niners. He made good. Talk of a movie written about - SFGate. (made the kids proud, washed up, not started yet, later clue - mop up/cafeteria)
The underdog story resonates. The hard work and humility instilled by his parents is what stands out.
Sorry about the furphy. Cinci came up in my research on Western Illinois and I did not do my due diligence since I am not familiar with that region. I have friends in Ohio, Indiana and Illinois that would pull my aside and have words. LOL.
