Id hope he can offer more than that. There will be opportunities with no Aiyuk. There is no clear 1, 2, or 3 next year. Hoping he can offer more than returning kicks.

Cow as good as the guy from Balty... just not being used here..

Wow Taylor Rapp as a Ram had 9 picks in four seasons, that's a bust?

John Johnson in four seasons, 8 picks. Bust?

Joseph Noteboom started 71 games for the Rams, that's a bust?

I could go on about your list and players being a bust, but I think you and me define bust differently.

I used the same logic the original poster had which was apparently they had to be a pro bowler and still on the team.

How do you know that? He's never played enough in the NFL to show he can be good. When he did play he didn't do much even as a return man. I recal seeing him slip and fall on his face a lot. He's 5'9" and weighs 170 lbs.

He is a mid-round pick who hasn't shown anything in his first two years. The drafted a WR and a PR the year after Cowing was drafted. They will draft at least one WR early in the next draft. If I were to set expectations I would say his ceiling is #4 WR/starting PR and the floor is practice squad.

Is he still on the roster? He's been the invisible man. Herm Edwards talked him up a few years ago and I was expecting more

I have not seen where they have opened his practice window yet, so still on IR

Cowing did nothing when healthy anyways. Shaky punt returner and completely meaningless on offense. Who cares if he's healthy or not? Will make zero difference either way

Four catches, which isn't much at all, but he did it on only six targets, which is encouraging, and for 80 yards. I'd love to see what he could do with 30 or 40 targets a year.
Bust

He can't stay healthy long enough to get that many targets

He was for 15 games last year. We only have two season to go off of- one healthy one where he was sparingly used but performed when his number was called as a receiver and one where he's been injured all year.
Due to that awful hip drop tackle on Ricky, Cowing may have his window finally opened next week.
