And TE's, DL'S, RB's, EDGE...
Kittle (TE), Bosa (Edge rusher) are great. Interior defensive line they have drafted some good ones but let them all go in free agency. RB they have not drafted great or awful. Mostly mid - later picks. They got McCaffrey in a trade.
Kittle and Bosa are studs, but that's two players in what...eight draft classes?
And other than DJ Jones, no IDL drafted by this FO has stood out.

Deforest Buckner and Arik Armstead. But they let them both go in free agency. Yeah they missed a lot on edge rusher. They did have Aldon Smith. But he was a drunk. That's going a way back. But he was an excellent player. TE has not been hugely emphasized in the draft. They were lucky to get something as good as Kittle in the 5th round.

Busts like who? Most of their OL picks are late round guys. McGlinchey was good enough to get a massive contract from Denver. Banks will also get a nice long term deal if they let him walk.
The issue most have is that they don't prioritize OL early in the draft so they end up taking guys in the 4th, 5th and 6th rounds where statistically they're just not likely to become anything more than marginal starters at best.
and who do you blame on that?
Foerster lol. Our OL coach doesn't prioritize O-line. But in all seriousness, the bust word is thrown around too much. I didn't want McGlinchey to get a 2nd contract here. But the guy is a starter on most teams. Anyone that can wrap their head around that doesn't understand tackle quality across the league.

I didn't say they did. The 49ers did. I didn't say anything about regime.

What is the meaning of puni?
I punish
Derived from Latin pūniō ("I punish"), from poena ("punishment, penalty"), from Ancient Greek ποινή (poinḗ, "penalty, fine, bloodmoney"), from Proto-Indo-European *kʷoynéh₂, from the root *kʷey- ("to pay").

Banks is overrated by this fanbase imo. Banks plays on the left side next to TW which helps him out.
Feliciano is a better player. The one or two games he played at LG next to TW hes looked better than Banks.
Banks is dead average at G and maybe slightly below.
I also am not sure I agree with him being a better G than McG a tackle. McG is easily one of the better run blocking right tackles in the league. Pass pro, Banks is better because McG is dreadful. But he isn't really a top anything guard in pass pro.
I'm almost sure they will let him walk. With oline Niners basiclaly dont pay for olinemen unless they're elite or they like a guy in the first round.
We all thought Laken was above average but Niners were the only team he's been on where he's been above average.
No chance Feliciano is better than Banks.
#1 Trent Williams.
#2 Aaron Banks - legit too.
Others are marginal. I like Feliciano a lot and he's versatile. You are actually under rating Banks. We will miss him when he leaves in free agency. He's very solid in run and pass blocking. Also no mental errors. A big, strong powerful guy too. High draft pick for Guard too and worthy of that status.
I think the draft status is the only reason people think he's any good
Watch the games is why he's good. He's the 2nd best easily on this line.
I think Banks had a better 2022 than 2023 but if I remember correctly, he also had a few nagging injuries last year.

Yeah, I hope that as well. You can tell that is our strategy. Hopefully it works out. It's my biggest concern cause when Trent went down - the o line was arguably the worst in the league. We need quality o line guys bad.
its amazing Brock did as well as he did with this line, it's actually historically good.
Publications had them rated high toward the close of last year. You're exaggerating.
They were 24th in run blocking and 28th in pass blocking. So...hopefully they will improve with Puni starting.

Big fan of this pick. I knew it was going to be a solid pick cause NY liked it. Hahah as much as him and I have disagreed on QB assessment in the past, he's pretty solid at looking into prospects.
That's why NY is, without a doubt, the best poster on the WZ.
He's one of my faves, though his initial take on Brock was pretty bad.
