My problem with all this is he was already an old player. Out of his last two years, he ended up already missing like a full year worth of games. He will be 26 to start next season. By the time he fully breaks out and gets a full year of work, he could be 27 or 28 and now Niners either have to pay an older player for future years that might not be his prime anymore or let him go.
He already broke out. He was 3rd in the NFL in receiving yards before his injury behind JSN and Nacua.

And you get that from 4 games worth of stats?

3 games is not a breakout lol. Nobody is even talking about Ricky anymore while JSN and Puca are 2 of the best WRs on the planet rn.
Sometimes I feel like some of you guys make it a point to read things how you want to read them.
The original post makes it seem like Pearsall is someone who hasn't shown anything in the NFL and his breakout won't happen until he's in his late 20s.
The reality is he already has broken out as a WR, that's why so many of you are in here complaining about him being out.
You don't have to be a "best WR on the planet" to break out as a WR in the NFL. He finished last season averaging 82 YPG in our last 3 games of the season. He started the first 4 games this year averaging 81 YPG. There is a clearly consistency on tape there and it's not like he was out there feasting as a defensive afterthought. He was our WR1 this season with all the injuries at the position.
His YPG average this year puts him in the top 6 of NFL WRs. He was making tough contested catches, wide open YAC catches, big time critical moment catches before his injury. What else do you want him to do to break out to your definition that matches dynasty's expectations?
Feel free to go back to his post and identify for me where breakout included all pro/best WR on the planet requirements...
