Who do you think will be the 49ers starting QB for week 1?

Lance. And if he plays well, the QB controversy talk will explode. I still think Brock's that guy, but if Lance dominates....

I expected this to go BP 60, TL 30 and SD 10, something like that..

I don't think it's that far fetched. Kyle has had his eyes on Sam for years, this is the perfect opportunity to see what he can do with him.

I bet Brock's footwork and progressions look amazing. Since he's probably been working on that like a mad man while he couldn't typically throw. His mechanics are going to be crisp, he's probably been studying film like a mad man.

he may go on PUP for a week or two while he finishes rehab but I doubt that even happens. He will be here day 1 participating in some capacity

I think it may be Lance. Kyle has plenty of incentives to start him. Here's some.

Huge capital given up for him.
highest paid QB on the team.
Needs the live reps for improvement.
brock coming back from serious injury.
It's to Brock's benefit to work him back slowly if he's indeed viewed as QB1 going forward.

If you start the season on PUP, you can not practice or play for 6 weeks. We don't want to see that.

If you start the season on PUP, you can not practice or play for 6 weeks. We don't want to see that.

I think the rule is different for beginning of training camp, if he goes on, he can come off whenever. If it's during the season, then yeah - it's a whole different ball game.

for example, we just put The rookie CB on PUP but I believe he can come off as soon as he is ready. If it goes into the season, then the rules change.

I'll miss his #69. Right now it's taken by an UDFA DLman - not a lock to make the 53.

We will miss him on run plays, but won't miss him at all on pass plays.

I bet this thread will be completely different than the other QB threads.
