Corley is a younger and thinner Deebo

I know DT/NT can be one of the hardest positions to lean for rookies, but this isn't a complicated DL scheme that we have with our Wide 4. One of the easiest, if not the most player friendly DL scheme.

Pure talent usually thrives there, and seeing Alfred getting beat up a couple of times is not good. I asked you this questions a couple months ago in his thread, if his pad level / technique is good, and you didn't seem too concerned then with your answer. It's a got to look a bit more concerning now...

I think he's completely mentally cooked at the moment. He doesn't know what is going on. Need to see some big progress in the next month.

Generally, his pad level isn't the issue. He'll have moments, but i didnt see a pad level issue on his Texas tape. His bigger thing is learning new footwork, so he's sometimes not ready with his feet to take on certain blocks. If you watch Kocurek clips coaching these guys during TC, he's staring at their feet.

It seems like you can see him still trying to figure out his assignment at the snap. I think Saleh wants him to know what his first step is at the snap and he's just mentally swimming trying to get it. To me that's normal, the ones who don't have some struggles putting a new system into action at full speed are the outliers.

The issue is if Collins is still lost so much in a month.

Some guys just tke longer to adjust to the NFL. Sometimes it's because they the way they were coached in college is completely different and they have to learn techniques all ovewr again. Some QBs pick up a new offense quickly while others struggle. It can be the same with linemen or DBs.

IDL players seem to take the longest to adjust. I think part of it is scheme changes, and a big part is the speed and power in the NFL is something they have often never experienced. The bigger and more powerful the longer it seems to take sometimes.

You mean the guy that caught 3 balls for 16 yards last year? You want to trade him for a guy who caught 70+ passes for almost 1k yards and who will block his butt off.

bUt He iS ThE NExt DEEBO!!!

Speed and power are alwaysthe things even the best college players talk about when comparing college to the NFL.. Players like Collins that are so big probably relied on being able to use their size against smaller players when they were in high school and even college. In the NFL they have to learn technique because everyone is bigger and more talented. That's where a really good coach can make a difference.

it's a time of year where teams are cutting down, and looking to reduce roster size. so you can get players for cheap late round consideration. a player i've liked for a long time is robert woods. probably can get him for free or pick swap or whatever. he used to carry the ball for the rams, and he's a guy who can block. played in rams O and in the ryans O in houston.

Woods is not the player you want to add if you have injury concerns.

Hopefully they find a way to bring Kiner back. letting this kid go because of a sprained ankle is a mistake.

The answer was to keep Mason.
