Everyday I am fearful to look at what injury happened and everyday it seems like another big blow to our season.

NFL season is a marathon where injuries determine how far you go
Remember we have a late BYE so it will be a grind most of the year
Cross your fingers and hope nothing is season ending
SD just lost their newly extended LT to the worst knee injury possible (patellar tendon)
*Torn patellar tendons are likely a career ender...not just a season ender

What camp injury is a "big blow to our season"? Haven't most of them been fairly minor?

Hasn't been to bad for sure but we still have a ways to go. Our top pick just injured his knee early in our first joint practice. Then you have Ayuik and Mustapha that leaked into the season those two are significant considering our depth at the positions.

Just saw the Ravens rookie CB having his leg pointing the wrong direction in the Colts game. Injuries happen to everyone but it definitely feels like we get the lions share of it.

Tough break for the Chargers and Herbert. Losing a tackle like Slater can change their whole season outlook. Ruptured patellar tendon isn't an easy injury to come back from. A rupture means it was completely torn. Even harder for a guy his size. Bad enough that he's out for this year but it's possible he could miss part of next season as well.
At least the Niners got a couple games from Aiyuk after he signed his big contract. With all ther money they're investing in these players you have to wonder if they'll be playing the games with AI in the future. There's just no way you can protect players. Light practice. Heavy practice. No practice. They still suffer bad injuries.

It feels like that when it's one of your players. The Nners certainly get their share.

The lions had most of the starters out on defense due to injuries when it came to playoffs last season. But since 49ers fans arent lions fans, there will be a kind of selection bias

At the worst times too, Bowman, Hufanga, Greenlaw, Purdy in the nfc championship. or Justin Smith playing through a torn tricep in the 2012 Super Bowl run late in the season. Feel I'm missing a couple more too

Yeah, but Williams knee is supposedly "not bad", and Aiyuk/Mustapha were not camp injuries.
I've been glad the injuries have been fairly minor with Givens injury the worst, but he's not that big a loss.
The injury issue for the 49ers has more been just lost practice time at 2 locations.

Even worse than these (luckily not too serious) injuries piling up is the fact that our oline gets manhandled... in our own practices and joint practice.
I'm glad BP looks like he put on more leg muscle/power as he could be scrambling for his life a lot. He'll be getting pressured a lot up the gut as 1st, 2nd, 3rd and even 4th string DTs will be toying with our average (AT BEST) center on the oline.
This is just PRACTICE! Not a game not a game. NOT A REAL GAME!!
We talkin bout practice

I suppose their oline sucks too / our dline is pretty damn good as well as theirs... doesn't hide the fact that our center is AVERAGE!!
