Safety has been a revolving door for many years. They always sort it out one way or another. I'll keep an eye on it, but I'm not that concerned.

Sounds like secondary is going to be a major weak link like many of us said
Pinnock and Grant might be better than expected, and Pinnock played for Saleh before. It's too bad Moose won't be there to start, but I think a vastly improved D line and coordinator will help the secondary tread water until they gel and get players back. I'm excited to see Green and Lenoir out there.

lol you gleaned this after 2 days of no pads?

Well, Salah did say it's basically wide open who starting safeties will be which is somewhat concerning.

And KS said there could be up to 8 spots up for grabs on D. We all knew this after the purge and the draft.
This will be an interesting season because it's about a close to a rebuild that we've seen since Kyle and John first took over the team and cleaned house. New DC and assistant coaches. New punter. Kicking battle. Lot's of new faces on thr D line. Many offensive players coming back from injuries. WR spots up for grabs after Deebo's trade and Aiyuk's injury.

I love this kind of season. Someone will surprise and someone will disappoint.

Agreed, I think it's gonna show if they can build back a good roster with fresh young talent.

Those two statements are contradictory. If he's missing camp for a personal matter, it has to be serious and something to be concerned about. If it's not football related, that statement still seems calloused.
Our safeties have been slow these past few years. I hope Salah gives the rookie a chance to start. Plays him like Tartt.

Like I said it's as close to a rebuild as we've seen in a few years. They didn't need to trade or release any of ther top stars other than Deebo. They still have CMC and some good backups. They still have Trent Williams anchoring the line. They still have Bosa and Warner on defense to build around and a young but talented corps of DBs. With a soft schedule they have time to jell without being thrown to the wolves from the start.

Afrer all the disappointment last year it's easy to expect this year to be better.

Nope, that is simply not a valid conclusion at all.
