Just placed on IR with a pelvis injury from Thursday's practice.

Could be a legit injury, but reading between the lines to me this seems like a way to demote him without outright cutting him.

I wonder how/why this guy is still on the roster. Even the camp reports are littered with him getting cooked in practice same as on game day.
What has he done to earn a spot on this roster each year?
