Who would be your priority to extend now before the season begins?

Vote was for other, I choose no one. Worry about getting season started.
Moseley- we finally figured out corners are premium positions? Moseley is set for a big season. He might take 10m per season or under now. It's gonna take a lot more then that next year in my opinion. Bosa is most important but he's got the 5th year option so to me it's lock up Moseley for 3-4 more years, all prime.

I voted for Moseley. We have Bosa two more years and it's pretty well known he's getting 27-30 million a year. Mosely is not only set for a big season, but everything has fallen into place. He is likely to have even a better pass rush in front of him than 2019 due to sheer depth, great group of linebackers, and C Ward is starting opposite of him. I can really see a huge year with his price tag going up. If Ambry Thomas had shown more last year and in camp/preseason, I'd let it play out. But in the same way waiting cost us a few million with Deebo, I see the same for Moseley. Get him now for 2-4 years at 8 million APY. If the wait until the season is over and he has a solid year, it's going to be 10 million +.
The linebackers could get some mention too but I think it best they let that play out. If both stay healthy I see one leaving, if not both.

Greenlaw would be no. 2 for me. I'd do them both in season, then Bosa as soon as our season ends. Looking at the full list, it's a lot of guys.

Probably would be easier to name who I'd let walk-

  • QB Jimmy Garoppolo
  • EDGE Samson Ebukam
  • RT Mike McGlinchey
  • K Robbie Gould (I'd definitely bring in a kicker for competition however).
  • DT Hassan Ridgeway (depending on how the season goes)
  • DB Dontae Johnson (I hope by 2023, we'd have 6 CBs that can push him off the roster, unless he wants to play safety).
  • TE Tyler Kroft (depending on how the season goes)
  • WR Malik Turner
  • DL Maurice Hurst
  • TE Ross Dwelley
  • CB Jason Verrett (only brought back on 1-year vet minimum deals)
  • TE Troy Fumagalli
  • CB Ka'dar Hollman
  • DB Tarvarius Moore (depending on how the season goes)
  • OL Justin Skule
  • EDGE Dee Ford (already released)

Bosa, but I don't think he'll want to anyway. It's going to cost more than the highest paid D Lineman, I'd rather pay him before someone else gets paid more. Could potentially have another WR situation on our hands. Imagine if TJ Watt or Garrett force trades and get paid $35 mil per. The market will go crazy, with the cap set to increase I could see it happening.

I don't see an issue with Bosa next year, we're gonna learn from the Deebo situation.

As for the question, Moseley, Ward, Dre, Azeez would all be good extension candidates IMO. Need to keep this defense core together.

Oh I think he'll sign, but current price is about $28-30mil per. It'll be higher next year. How much higher will depend on the market as much as his play. I'd just get it done if possible

I like all four of those but put Moseley on top. If he stays healthy this year and plays up to the standard he has when healthy in the past, we probably cannot afford him after this season.

Ward will have to wait to see if he comes back from this hammy. That leaves Dre and Azeez and I think we need them both. If given a choice, Azeez will be less expensive but that is not always the best reason.

I agree on Moseley being at the top, as for the LBs, I agree not always best to go with cheapest, Dre has produced 2 yrs out 3, Azeez just came on last year, heck Dre made Kwon Alexander expendable. I'd go with Moseley & Dre before the season, or early in season.
Bosa get it done asap

Easily Moseley. We finally have 2 good cbs so if 1 gets injured we won't crumble like in seasons past. Also, so many teams have 2 good wrs. This will effectively give us a huge advantage and be a major reason we win a SB
