QB Brock Purdy Thread

I sincerely hope we support Trey and Brock in here. I think we have two potential stars. I am thrilled with that. As long as Jimmy is out I am happy. Brock got his shot and he capitalized on it. He earned the right to play. I hope Trey can do the same. Stack the o line. Improve at cb and maybe let Danny grey play the deep threat. I have hope for a sb win next year. I have not been able to say that for a long time.. I never thought Jimmy could do it. I know Brock can and believe Trey can as well. Lets go!

Agreed. Having one or possibly 2 QBs that can elevatevthis offense is going to change things around here.

Surely they will repair it, it's only 3 months down before he throws again and be ready for late TC

I certainly hope the decision is not made on the basis of getting him back in time for TC. He is clearly a top-level talent with a chance to play for 10+ years. Fix the elbow in accordance with that goal.

+1

I wonder how much this situation will affect him long term. Guess we will see. I hope he plays for a good while.

Yeah, everyone say's that this is Trey's chance to get the job and keep it. Got news, once Brock is healthy again, he's the starter.

This is Lance's chance to prove he can play in this league at some level. At this point, no one knows for sure what he can and cannot do. The conundrum is; it will take game reps before we find out, and that means the possibility of enduring something significantly less than Purdy was doing. At this point, that will be a tall order. Purdy finished the season with a passer rating of 107.3, tops in the league. Better than Mahomes' 105.2!

He will never be the same imo. His story was one this franchised deserved, it's an absolute shame he didn't get the chance to at least play the game out, win or lose.

lol. If pitchers who throw 100 mph recover fine from full reconstruction, a QB who doesn't rely on arm strength will be fine coming back from a repair.

Trey has a chance to start the first few games of the season, if Brock is not ready. But, he has no shot of keep the job, once Brock is cleared to play.

I think the max time he has to make a decision was maybe 2 weeks from day of injury, so I think he'll be making a decision soon to keep things on the shorter end of that timetable.

Really? Are you sure it wasn't Garbac? Maybe it was Deburg.

I'm just flipping him sh*t about his spelling. Guess I should have expanded the quote. Check the original post.

We'll see, but don't be surprised if he doesn't.

Kansas City is where 49ers QBs go to end their Careers.

One great thing about Purdy or Lance... they probably will not end up in Kansas City.

We don't want 'em. We don't need 'em.

By the way, that's De Berg. Also, that's Grbac.

lol

I wonder how many decades I have spelled Grbac wrong, I assume I had it right at some point in history.
