Watkins did have a couple of moments in the Atlanta game. Then he had some other moments that were not as good. In Kyle's system, the WR makes the catch. No matter how tough it is. The WR is expected to make that catch. Watkins did have his moment to make that catch and score a TD. He did not make it. It was close. But, bottom line, he did not get it done. Until he starts making those impossible, contested catches, BP may never trust him.
He's talking about the completion to Watkins. A better thrown ball and it's probably a touchdown instead of just a big gain.
Could be an issue with time on task, maybe he doesn't trust him to run under a ball and make a great catch, didn't want to overthrow him and lose the completion. Think there was some pressure as well so he couldn't just rip it completely.
Also with the Kittle completion maybe he was earlier in the progression, you don't go yes #1 is open, let's check to see if #3 is as well, you let it rip. These are things that make Brock who he is, not saying you can't criticise but we should be extremely grateful for Brock.
