QB Brock Purdy Thread

That also cost us the game cause we still would've had a chance at the end down 29–23 instead. Who knows, maybe the play is different and we don't have a game sealing fumble..

I wouldn't call that 2nd pick a bad decision. That was just an amazing athletic play by the LB dropping back into a spot. Sometimes you just have to credit the other guy.

At the time when we made that 4th and 10 decision, our defense couldn't get off the field. We had no way of knowing at the time that the Falcons wouldn't be able to get a first down against our D the rest of the game.

I think we were f**ked either way tbh. Just a collapse. Hopefully, we come back playing better after the bye.

It is easier to just trash the qb lol

That one int sucked though. I was surprised he didn't throw it higher. I was like, that can't be an int, right? And ugh. CMC, our comfort blanket goes out and all unravels lol

The fact is though, whether we scored or not the defense still had to make a stop, that's why I'm saying it didn't really make sense to me. 3 or 7, you're not gonna have a chance to come back without the D stepping up so get closer with a lot of time left.

That all said, it is very close to the bottom of things that cost us. If I'm not mistaken, if Watkins held on, we'd have never had to make that decision to begin with.

I wouldnt call the first one a bad decision either. He was trying to throw it away, right? Throwing it away was the correct decision to make there, right?

Actually throw it away. Don't throw it near the sideline. It was a horrible play.

Purdy said in his post-game that he made a late decision on the play tp throw it away and just didn't get it far enough out of bounds.
It didn't look like a throw away ball though

Look at the film. Cowing gave up on the scramble drill.
