Just as we all expected Penix, Jr. had the Brock Purdy totally efficient type, passing game and Brock had the kind of stupid game you'd expect out of Jameis Winston. Nothing ever makes any sense in this league.

Maybe I'm a real true homer but I didn't think Purdy was bad at all. The two picks weren't ideal but I feel like they were more the result of excellent defensive efforts vs Purdy pooping the bed. That's less concerning than the coverage misreads and baited throws we saw in past seasons. I haven't seen that pattern this year. Sometimes the defense just balls out.
Outside of that he was making some great throws when it mattered. I think this game and convo is completely different if no fumble by Kaelon and no Jack Jones slip ups. Those changed the entire make up of the game.

Yeah I'm anxious for that game. He needs to really play well for the notion he struggles against top tier defenses will continue.
I have no idea what to expect from him. The defense will be fine against their O but our offense might be bad.

The one INT was Purdy's fault. He has trying to throw the ball away and didn't get it out of bounds.

Well, shouldn't we have Evans, Robinson and Deebo back by then?
I still think we can beat anyone. The biggest issue with this team remains ST.

The first int is the definition of pooping the bed. Of course the game is different if they don't fumble and Jones doesn't have so many penalties. Just like it's a different game if they don't throw 2 ints and Eddy P makes his extra points. Purdy had a bad game but i don't undersbatnd why we need to do a referendum on his entor career. I expect him to play well in 2 weeks.

How the hell do you throw an INT on a throwaway attempt. I never thought I'd miss Kap's braindead scrambles out of bounds for a 4 yard loss.

Purdy made some plays but the two turnovers were just bad decisions. Same with the fourth down sack. But TBH I would not have gone for it on 4th and 10 with that much time. That also cost us the game cause we still would've had a chance at the end down 29–23 instead. Who knows, maybe the play is different and we don't have a game sealing fumble..

At the time when we made that 4th and 10 decision, our defense couldn't get off the field. We had no way of knowing at the time that the Falcons wouldn't be able to get a first down against our D the rest of the game.

That was 2024 brock purdy type game. Moves the ball up and down the field but just kills it with dumbass int.
