If people actually watch the first half with Evans, and the second half without Evans, it should not hurt him at all. However, that is not the reality with a lot of people.

Tom Brady or Joe Montana, or pick who ever you want, nobody is going to put up any kind of numbers with the top 6 wideouts on the roster. This situation is beyond insane.

I saw some people going crazy after the game(it's really annoying btw) don't mind people giving criticism but keep it together.

Once Mike went out of the game here were the results of each drive.

Finished that drive with a TD
Started our drive on our 21 yard line - drive stalled on the Washington 14 yard line after a batted ball on 3rd down. He had Cooks for the TD if the ball goes through btw.
3 and out - Kittle should've come down with the ball for first down on a really good play by Brock.
3 and out - sack on 2nd down with nobody blocking their edge rusher
3 and out - we're trying to kill the clock and burn their timeouts

It may not have been pretty but it certainly doesn't hurt his MVP chances either.

I don't think anyone in the media is going to dive very deeply into it. It's as simple as that we were extremely productive in the passing game when Evans was in the game and then we weren't once he left the game. The MVP of the league shouldn't be so reliant on a 33 year old WR with Achilles tendonitis.

Josh Allen is productive regardless of his supportive cast which is probably why he'll ultimately win the award. There's still a lot of season left though.

The overreactions by the public are comedy.

We essentially had THREE second half drives. One of them we drove the length of the field and would have had a touchdown if not for a tipped pass at the line of scrimmage. The next two drives that went three and out were because of an early down sack and a Kittle drop (not really a drop but he would tell you he needed to catch it).

The sky isnt falling.

I don't think Brock's focus is the MVP. I think he's more concentrating in winning every game up until he's hoisting the Lombardi. A win is a win and sometimes those are going to be ugly wins. Defense won us the game last night. Sometimes it's the offense winning it for us and sometimes it's the special teams. I'm sure they all know that since they've been preaching complimentary football. All the mistakes last night they'll work to clean it up and I just hope they continue on being consistent in winning games. Also, I hope they trade for someone who will help us get to the promised land.

Josh Allen isnt throwing to his #6 and #7 receivers, some of which are practice squad activations and free agent signings off the street.

Exactly, and Josh Allen throws int's quite a bit, even when they need him to be clutch. It could be argued that NOBODY can do more with less at the wr position than Purdy. Sorry, facts.

"An MVP QB should put up astronomical numbers regardless of the situation or opponent, every single week, every single quarter".

I can't take you people seriously. No QB in the history of the NFL has ever been held to this standard of perfection.

Purdy:

264 yds
1 TD
0 INT's
70%+ completion
111 passer rating
Win on prime time

"I think this really hurts his MVP chances".

We're still undefeated. Bills isn't.

Josh Allen has already thrown a game-losing interception, threw another one that was dropped and had a horrible game against the 0-6 Chargers. His passing performance against the Rams was bad too.

Josh Allen gets all these passes in six games.
Meanwhile Brock Purdy has to basically play perfectly because the moment he has a slow quarter (not even bad quarter, just a slow quarter) while missing his SIX best WRs, he gets cannibalized.

It's just wild to me at this point. I never thought draft bias would drag this long but I guess I'm starting to figure out how Patriots fans felt in the mid-2000s.

When your 1,2, and 3 wr's are injured at the same time, things get messy. The QB had nobody to rely on at the WR position. It is a gametime, temporary situation.

The Bills have had a stronger wr group than the 49ers for one half of one game so far this season. Their best WR would probably be our number 3 behind Evans and Deebo, and has missed more time than both of those players so far this season.

That's not including the hall of fame TE and RB who are two of the best pass catching targets to ever play their position… or the fact that we have the best offensive coach in football and a defense that doesn't routinely give up 30+ points.

Brock has had a great start to his year. The best he's been to this point of his career, at least in my opinion. Firmly deserves to be in the early discussion for MVP. We don't need to make insane arguments/claims and downplay our own players to prop him up.

But he's tall and throws the ball far.
Purdy is playing some really good football right now. A couole of darts to Evans last nightt. Not sure why people are talking MVP after 6 games. Premature.
