Mina is smart. But she had Love ranked 7th in QB rankings and Purdy ranked 15th.
Sorry but… little difficult to take her QB analysis seriously with that.

I'm siding with Lombardi. Mina saying she picked the Niners to win is irrelevant to any of this lol

I like our chances against KC when we play them again in late December this year. We'll see if Raheem's defense can shut down Patrick. If we win that game or lose in a close game, I like our chances of beating them in the playoffs. We shall see.

I said it when Purdy's QBR wasn't great, and I'm saying it now.
I prefer career passer rating. Still not perfect obviously but at least the formula is transparent and actually known. Purdy is also #1 in this stat.
Passer rating is dumb af

It's a heavily team influenced stat, just like EPA/db.
There isn't a great catch all stat for QB play. Total QBR, while also not great, is probably the best one… understanding that it's actually a good thing that there isn't a set formula for it.

It's not great but it's 10x better than QBR. At least we actually know what the formula for it is.

Is she? Talking about the Denver CBs being injured while not even acknowledging the fact that Purdy is down to a cracked rib Mike Evans, Brandon Cooks who just signed off the street, Jacob Cowing and Jordan Watkins doesn't strike me as smart.

Not having a formula is its strength. It tries to apply context to a QB's contribution in each individual game. That's what passer rating and its advanced stat brother, EPA/db, completely miss.

that's why it's good to look at wins

You're missing the point of her comment. It was a response to Lombardi's comment that Denver was the same defense that just missed the SB last year. With those injuries, it wasn't.
It really isn't that complicated, or that deep.

Nah they have to beat KC in December for me to believe they can win it all. It's the monkey off their back. They're 0-100 against them

Agree unfortunately, its like Steve Young and the Cowboys all over again. Got to get rid of the monkey of their back, or in the case of KC, its Kermit the Frog.

Plus the refs are being incredibly generous to KC this year from a calls standpoint.
