I think Brock's struggles in the 1st half had alot to do with having wrs that didn't know what they were doing. That and the Broncos have Good players also. But remember then Niners have 4 wide receivers out there that would not be getting offensive snaps if not for the inuries. And the one starter they did have, Evans was dealing with fractured ribs. He's a stud by the way.

Agreed. He had minimal time also. The pressure the broncos were able to apply was more than he has seen this year. He started getting a little happy feet.
After they lost their corners kittle became a much more viable target.
Once he got that first TD it seemed like he locked it in.

If you really think about it - Evans being hurt created challenged. Kittle and Evans were covered by the best corners in the nfl.
the rest of his skill guys are unproven and new (besides deebo). So trying to anticipate and throw stuff early, when you question if guys will be there, probably made him hesitate.
i feel like that first third down where cowing seemed out of place, made Brock worry about just rifling balls to guys.

I am, he had a couple of meat head plays that cost his team the game. He literally threw the game away.

I absolutely love watching Purdy play. Have since he came in with his hair on fire and led us to the the Championship game in Philly.
But how much he has elevated his already high level of play—combined with the lack of receiving weapons around him besides a fresh achilles injury Kittle and old, broken ribbed mike evans—is astounding.
He is the best player on this team. Ok ok Fred is. Let's call it a tie and split it between offense and defense.
Purdy has always been fantastic but he is an architect and poetry in motion making things happen on his own this season. This is what it felt like watching Steve Young when I was a kid.

He doesn't throw with anticipation. He relies heavily on his athleticism when his first and second reads aren't wide open. He'll then buy time to either run or scramble until someone flashes open.

Brock Purdy MVP watch
Undefeated - 0 sacks only 1 Int
# 1 passer rating
# 1 passing TDs
#2 total TDs
#1 TD%
#2 YPA
#5 Completion %
# 11 passing yards
Averaging 30+ rushing yards a game. #4 in total rushing yards out of QBS (that is more then Josh Allen and 3x more the Mahomes BTW)
He would be the MVP at this point, I don't think it is all that debatable. The only thing that has slipped recently is the passing yards but only 50 yards separates him from #6 and passing yards is overrated anyway. A lot of QBs who have really bad seasons finish with top passing yards every year. YPA is a way more important stat for passing yards IMO.

I thought Brock Purdy had his "worst" game of the season but he still had a really good game.
It was a big test for him and the team in general against a good Broncos team and their dangerous pass defense.
Purdy didn't make mistakes. He was calm, took what the defense gave him and just like Kyle he waited for the right moment.
I mean people weren't expecting games like the one against Miami every week right?
Purdy again didn't take any sacks. He avoided a lot of them actually, he's such a good scrambler. No turnovers.
Honestly since coming back from his toe injury last year, he got to the next level.
He's just an amazing QB honestly.

Brock's best game so far. Took what a stingy D gave him, didn't try to play hero ball.
